What do you do?
I read through the tips by the pros on full tilt and one of them said that you should shut off the tv, stop listening to music, and searching the web, when you play... I do all these things while i play because I'd get bored if i didn't and play hands that i shouldn't out of boredom.... Does anyone else disagree with that tip?

id have to say that i agree that the things around you are distracting because i myself use to browse the net adn listen to sat radio and play other games and other tables but then i broke myself of it because I realized that when your not doing the other things you tend to know more about the other players you start picking up betting patterns etc.. as far as getting bored thats just something you have to work on yourself becaue everyone knows that in poker sometimes at least myself you wont play a single hand for an hour or maybe two think of it as a live game you wouldnt be playing solitare or checking our email or playing at another table or anything so i have to say its great advice

You should do what works for you, thats it.I personally play better when a good movie is on.If a bad movie or a show Im bored with,I play worse. The same with music,i play better when i enjoy the music, and bad if im not enjoying it.So do whats best for you,it does matter alot!

I am usually listening to something at least...I think we can all agree thats not bad...I will sometimes be watching a movie or game and not be that distracted...I do try and avoid surfing the net but hey we all get bored but that for sure takes away the most from paying attention for me
