Wow, well done TB. Hope you won and it wasn't wasted.

I actually saw my first one yesterday, on Bet365 freeroll (opponent had it not me). Only 3 of us were playing, and he picked up a piddly pot. What a waste. Maybe i'll get mine this year?

Very cool. And you got some action to boot. Still, it'll be a long time before you match those 6 consecutive Full Houses you got, eh?

I wonder if they would have called if you raised more on the river. Congraulations, tenbob! I never got one either but you CC members will be the first to hear about it if I do.

Thats a pretty long time to get a Royal but then again its all luck. My first time was (beleive it or not) within my first week of playing online poker well texas holdem anyway it was a good hand but I turned the nut flush and I guy went all in so I rivered a Royal flush and they guy showed me his hand he had four of a kind Queens.

I've never seen one on line. I was playing in a live MTT and saw two in the same night at diffrent tables. Delt by the same person and the deck was cut by Me. Strange night that was.

First off let me say congrats. As Rob said I hope you won. To flop that would have made me poop my pants.

Now this second thing is what is bothering me. I've had one Royal and that's not to far fetched, but I've seen at least 10 of them. I can't believe that so many of you have only seen 1 or none. Maybe I am playing too much poker.

Congrats tenbob. I just want to ask if most of the play in the ten years have been online? I just ask because i have seen a least 15 Royal flushes online and none in the casinos. I know you play more hands online but it seems the royal flush is always up against another monster hand ie.(four of a kind or straight flush)

Someone check my math for me:

Probability of getting two suited broadway in the hole: 1/33.5
Any broadway = 20/52, and then any broadway suited with that one: 4/51 = 1/33.5

Probability of then flopping the royal:
First card: There are 3 out of 50 = 3/50
Second card: 2/49
Third card: 1/48

1 / ( 3*2*1/(50*49*48) ) = 19600.

Combine these two probabilities: 19600 * 33.5 = 656 600.

So if you call every bet to see every flop, you'll flop the royal once every 656 600 times, on average.
