Well back to basics, and now where to start???

Hey All, I use to play alot of Poker, and then shit happened where I had to take a long break from poker, now It's like even though I just play free-Rolls just to get into the grove, I can't read for shit, I can't catch a bluff for crap, and I'm just making alot of retarded Retarded plays...I'm either playing to damn tight when close to the money with a monster Chip stack, or I'm just doing alot of dumb dumb plays, Bluffing at the wrong time, Walking righ into traps/setups/ so I ask you all where should I start at again...

I realize that it's just gots to be the basics, but where is a good start for me...

If you are struggling with cashing in freerolls ... well ... you're playing freerolls. It's not even competitive poker it's just a freeroll. Nothing else more than you can call it.

If I were you I'd try to scrape together a bankroll or get staked for a microlimit game whether you play NLHE or PLO. A lot of guys have built back up their bankrolls under similar circumstances.

The point is if you are struggling at freeroll play I would tell you that playing these will actually hurt your "real" poker game imo.

Ok, I might've came across as misleading, it's not that I can't put up the Br, It's more like the fact that I don't want too? I mean, I figure if I can't even seem to um....Read ppl in free-rolls, or really make a basic and everyday decisions (On the felt), or the fact that in the freerolls prior to my long break I use to make atleast top 100 (5000+)Feilds but now I can hardly even last up untill the first break, so then would it really be worth it for me to put up money and play at the tables? I hope that makes more sence as for my process of thought

Reading between the lines I sense you are bored in the FRs, that's y u r donking off... why not get out of these huge boring fields and try some ring or SNGs, focus for short periods then get out?

The 1st thing I will suggest to you is that you cannot compare your gameplay from before to your gameplay now. You took a considerable amount of time off away from poker and while you may think your skills are at the same level of play as before they most likely are not.

Freerolls are good to build bankrolls with from scratch, but they can be very damaging to your overall growth as a player since 99% of the players do not treat a freeroll the same way as they would if they had invested money into a tournament.

If I was you I would make a deposit and start over the right way. Just my .02

Don't worry too much about it its draining if you do. I know your situation all to well its like when my second kid came its like someone pulled the plug but after a while you just get in grove, just don't push it it'll come. and maybe some live play to help from a casino or your home game.
