Finished in the top 25% when 88 cracked my AA with a rivered straight after we had our money in . I had an early double up and a flopped straight flush keep me up for a while but I have to say I think I definitely was outplayed in a few spots. Reraises when your playing cards like A7s or JQ from late position with relatively high blinds leave me clueless sometimes. I suppose ~3000th of 12000 isn't a terrible result for my first big tournament. Need to do some more tournament reading. How did you other guys do?

I finished about 1700 or so. I was getting low on chips but I might have been able to limp into the money but decided to push instead.

Frustrating not to cash, but a pretty good placement considering who you were up against. The caliber of play here was definitely above what I had played before. A lot of reraises following my raises instead of a call make things so much more difficult.

Yep.. you have to take things into consideration.. ie. what will I do if buddy 3bets me here cuz you're gonna see ALOT of it. Either a) play back at them if stacks are deep enough.. or b) tighten your range up.

too bad about the AA < 88 hand.
