Vid of me playing a SnG
$5 on Stars - for some reason it cuts off about 30 seconds before the end. :/
Anyway, assuming this actually works, gogo criticise my play! http://rapidshare.de/files/16727978/SNG1.avi.html |

It was 400mb before I compressed it.
![]() There's a guide to making vids here. (I know linking to other fora is frowned upon, but I would feel even more guilty reposting that without due credit) |

lol just finished watching all 55 mins of it (yes i have alot of free time on my hands)
very well done Dorkus, you play a solid, tight game notes come in handy when tough calls are at hand (-->that AQ where you hit top pair and that lady check-pushed was a good laydown, i think that saved your tourney) |

(clarky sir, please go into a relevant topic or make a new thread to discuss freeroll stuff and don't hijack this one, kthx)
Chuck, I hated that laydown - I think I was too shortstacked to make it really, but it was a very close call, and I was confident enough that even with a shortstack I could outplay the donks. Would appreciate any further comments on it. For anyone who can't be bothered watching it... Villain is uber calling station (28/0/0.15, ~50 hands). Whenever she actually bets postflop, it's ALWAYS allin, regardless of pot size etc. She's done it before with top 2 pair, and a couple of other times without showing down. PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Button (t3060) SB (t1305) BB (t3645) UTG (t3290) Hero (t2200) Preflop: Hero is MP with Qh, Ac. 1 fold, Hero raises to t150, 2 folds, BB calls t100. Flop: (t325) Qs, 8d, 7h (2 players) BB checks, Hero bets t250, BB raises to t3495, Hero folds. Final Pot: t4070 Results below: No showdown. BB wins t4070. well she might have had a weaker kicker...i mean everytime she hit top pr she would check-raise all in
but it was too much of a risk to take considering she would do the same with 2pr and better so i thought it was a good laydown |

Bless you for posting the HH Chris; on behalf of all us losers still on dial-up, I thank you.
![]() Now, on to the hand. I don't get why you folded??? Flop was rainbow, no draws. She is a major callling station? Why not push post-flop and let here double you up? Were you afraid of pocket Qs (she probably would have re-raised pre-flop) Q8? I think you could have pushed first and make some $$ off this hand. A bit too timid this hand, IMO. ![]() |

I think you're ahead here more often than 50% of the time. Q8/Q7 would suck, and so would 8-7 (but not quite as much), but I just think you're up against Q9 here often enough to bite. A set would want to get paid off, so I doubt that would mean an all-in.
I hate that it's a checkraise, though. And although I think that a call is correct, it's close enough that I wouldn't consider a fold a complete disaster. Even with this laydown, you still have plenty of chips to move with, given that the BB is only at 50. |

i think Dorkus could have gone either way with a call or a fold she might have called PF with a medium PP, Q7-QA but i dont think 78 - she wasn't the type to play small connectors IMO and by the way she played, if she hit the flop (regardless what she had) then she would check-push if she acted first or raise all in if she acted last so i wouldnt rule out 77 or 88...then again she could just simply have top pair but a smaller kicker than you - maybe KQ or QJ or something like that |

BTW, I'd recommend downloading Microsoft's own Windows Media Encoder for doing screen captures - I've evaluated a number of bits of software that can do screencams, and Media Encoder had the advantage of being free, and also produced easily the smallest files.

In other words, I think you're giving her 'thought processes' too much credit. I think AQ-QT and 77-88 are the most likely holdings here. Last edited by Dorkus Malorkus : 30-03-2006 at 7:34 PM. |
