Vegas247 = Absolute? OK, so I downloaded the link from here to join the OFC at the Vegas 24/7 site. To my knowledge/memory, I have not signed up there before. But it wouldn't take my email address. I did the forgot the password thing, and got a reply from Absolute. I am currently working through this. This would be news to me that they are on in the same outfit. If you know anything please add it.

VP247 is an Absolute Poker skin. I'm not 100%, but I don't think they are the same company. Everything software-related is the same, but they have many different promotions not available at both sites. Also, we tried a funds transfer from an AP account to a VP247 account and it wouldn't work. But you can do one between AP and Ultimatebet, so go figure.

This is getting weirder and weirder. I think it is running deeper than just a 'skin'. After I tried to Join Vegas24/7, it wouldn't allow me to use my email address so I did the forgot password etc etc, (see previous post). I got an email with a new password, and it changed my Absolute password, but still I cant do Vegas24/7. I sent a reply to the password change email because i couldn't log in to see what was going on, and I did that yesterday, hoping for an immediate response, but fine with an overnight response. NO JOY! Nor any response from Absolute. They've got me confused. Edit add; I just searched through my cookies. I found cookies for Vegas24/7 but only an obscure possibility from absolutebanking for what I assume is Absolute. I've got to wonder why they can't be upfront and above board with their cookies, and what I can do to solve this. Last edited by dj11 : 6th December 2007 at 4:40 PM.

re: Vegas247 = Absolute? poker yeah there on the same network, so the players you are playing on absolute are the exact same players you are playing on VP24/7, I think its absolute poker with a different name, the companies are one in the same, its just people think they are signing up with VP24/7 when in fact its all one unit, might well just sign up with absolute and call it a day.

Is it safe to use, or are we going to come up against a super user account, I have downloaded the software but will go no further until this issue is resolved. Can Nick or one of the Mods please contact the appropriate Rep to get a clarification, or some kind of assurance that we will be safe from super user accounts.
