| "Vegas Poker Incident" My best friend who lives in Florida, his daughter was dating this guy that comes from an extremely wealthy family. I meet him when he and my friend’s family flew up to N.Y. I knew of this kid’s family background, and found him to be very pleasant after meeting him. He turns out to be a big stakes poker player. He’s 26 years old and I was rather surprised when we started talking poker and the stakes he was playing at. Then I find out that he and my friend’s daughter were flying to Vegas the next day. Monday my friend calls me, and tells me that he took this kid to a bank and witnessed him transfer $150,000.00 dollars to the cage at the Bellagio, in Vegas, before getting dropped off at the airport. A clue to who his dad is: owner of the biggest residential home ever built in the state of Florida. Anyhow, a couple of days later my friend calls me from Florida. Apparently there was an incident that took place at the Bellagio poker room involving a famous pro and this kid. It turns out this kid is a complete arrogant asshole; especially at the tables, where most everyone that knows him don’t like him. This is all being reported to my friend from his daughter. His daughter by the way is a gorgeous woman, and use to date Derrick Jeter. I know this is all sounding weird, but believe me it’s all true fact. So, while they were in Vegas my friend’s daughter said, he was playing poker for two days straight and only slept for 3 hours. Getting bored of being by herself, and fending off guys hitting on her, she decides to go hang out with him at the poker table again. She happens to walk in just when he lost a huge hand. He starts losing it, telling her she’s bad fn luck, embarrassing her in front of all the players and then throws two $100.00 chips to her and tells her to go shopping. She picked up the chips and threw them back at him. With that a well known pro we all know, tells her she don’t have to take that shit from a asshole and hands up three $5,000.00 dollar chips and tells her to go get herself something nice. This was the same player that just cracked him on that last hand. She kept them and stormed out of the poker room, and cashed out the chips. She went to her room and packed up. Unable to get a flight till the next day back home, she called her dad and checked into a different casino for the night and flew home the next day. Now there are all kinds of sparks flying around with them, and him accusing her of disrespecting him, etc. etc. It’s now at the point where my friend had to get involved. I guess what happens in Vegas, don’t always stay there. Thought it was an interesting story to tell everyone. |

No, they didn't just cash her out. She said they made a call to poker room, and within a few minutes cashed her out. No ID was requested, or any other questions. Both these players I'm certain are well known there. Chump change for them. P.S. I also thought if you cash out more then 10k, you had to fill a certain tax form, but they just forked over the cash. (I wasn't there.) Last edited by quads : 8th November 2007 at 12:03 PM. |

Still a pretty far-fetched story, but you know how Vegas is... |

I know the people involved with this incident, which happened a couple of months ago. I doubt very much this is at all related to Nolan Dalla and a book. |

i think slots are the only thing that the casino will take money out of if it is above 1,200. |

What are you talking about? I am simply pointing out that one of the "facts" of this story is a bit suspect, namely that a non-player was allowed to cash three high denomination chips, regardless of how "well known" the gifting player is. |

OK. I can believe it happened, but the dialogue doesn't seem "verbatim." That's doesn't matter anyway though. Is there a difference between tipping the waitress with chips and giving them to someone else? It's probably a popular story because no one can believe he couldn't cash it out. As for the story in this thread, the missing names and basic telling of the story in those words, don't exactly make it seem authentic. All in all, it's more believable, because nothing drastically horrible happened, such as in the other. |

Besides the above link to Dalla's account (originally on 2p2): Here is the original Las Vegas Sun story. Here is Lou Krieger taking the casino's side, here is a counterpoint. |

| no debate here. Sorry about the random thought in there Ag. I'm not sure how that statement is debating anything you have said. I don't think it does, but if it did, that's horribly weak and irrelevant. It's obviously a true story. Last edited by wsorbust : 9th November 2007 at 4:30 AM. |

| Paul Bilzerian, is the kid’s father in this thread. He was a corporate raider, and made from what I heard billions. He served all kinds of jail time refusing to cooperate with the law after committing all kinds of S.E.C. violations, hiding and holding on to most of his money. He single handedly took down the Singer Company and made tons. He is very much a bad guy, and even to this day is fighting tooth and nail with every arm of the law, including refusing to pay taxes on his mansion in Florida. His money is hidden all over the world. His son, who was involved with this incident at Vegas, is obvious proof the branch didn’t fall far from the tree. If you feel like reading for a week google his name. I found this article interesting only cause the super bowl was involved. Superbowl2001: $600,000 Super Bowl rental may involve Bilzerian Oh yea, and AG, regardless how or what happened to Dalla, and his five thousand dollar chip, they cashed my friends daughter out with absolutely no questions asked. FACT Didn't want to mention this guys name especially when kids involved, but it's obvious you don't believe to much of anything. Or at least are always trying to prove how much of a genius you are. | re: "Vegas Poker Incident" Yeah, silly me being skeptical of a 'I have a friend who has a daughter who knows a guy' story... Why, is it you would think I was bs’ing here. I told you in the beginning of this thread, I meet this kid personally. In addition I’m the god-father to the woman involved. btw you're not a "kid" if you can legally play poker in a casino. Yes, agree with you here, but she will always be a kid to me. At her age of 24, I was very concerned that she even ended up with such an ass-hole. As far as the Jeter dating, she was at one of the pre season games in Tampa, and Jeter had some guy come into the stands, and told her Jeter would like to have dinner with her at his house. She of course accepted and the whole time at his house, his personal trainer was there with him. After the first date they dated a couple of more months alone. Obvious just another hot babe carved onto Jeters belt of woman. |
