Wow wa we wa, just got home from my first Vegas trip and would like to
thank fellow CCers Sean, Mike, and Toby for making my trip loads of fun.
great to finally meet u guys face to face.
I played alot of live ringames in Vegas and made it out(with my bankroll and
hide intact). I played ring at The venetian(1/2) planet hollywood(1/2)
Caesars(2/5) but my absolute alltime favourite would have to be "Osheas Irish
Pub" the place is like no other I have ever played at before. For those that
dont know it, it's located directly opposite Caesars on the strip....perhaps
the best way to describe O'sheas poker games would be that it is the
equivalent of "crack cocaine" regarding the games available on the Strip
(highly addictive and very dangerous to get involved in)
The setting was the only game I saw where you could play a hand and look at
all the beautiful eyecandy strutting their stuff on the strip,( as there are no
doors on the front of the building) and the 4 poker tables are front and centre.
And ofcourse as with most(maybe all) Vegas ringames that are spread drinks
are comped. which makes for some interesting pots.
My favourite saying in regards to playing at Oshea's would have to be "If you
can't take a punch, dont play at Oshea's"( i am being figurative there btw)
The standard of play quite often dropped below 1c2cNL games that I have
played on the net.
Despite the horrific calls that were sometimes made against me. I ended up
showing a profit at Oshea's . Maybe playing a couple of sessions knowing I
was way below my A-game was a mistake, but hey I may not be back in
Vegas again for a longtime so any $$ I dropped in that game through tilt or
bad calls or badbeats I feel were more than compensated for with pure
entertainment value. Viva Las Vegas Baby
