using sidegames to clear bonusses

As the bonuswhore I am, I'm always looking for easy money on the internet. And today somebody at my table told me that he could clear the monthly reload bonus on interpoker in 1 day by playing bingo. So when I for some reason don't have the time to clear my bonus that month, bingo could be the answer. So does anybody have any experience with this kind of stuff and is it as easy as the guy told me? And does anybody know of other sites where this sort of thing would be possible? It doesn't nessesarely have to be reload bonusses, but they would ofcourse be the favourite choice.

I heard that video poker (Deuces Wild or Jacks or Better) can be good for clearing those bonuses, as the average return is over 99% generally, so they can be profitable when you play on them to clear a bonus. There's sites which give the optimum strategy for each (Deuces Wild being easier to learn the strategy for).

I think playing for bonues ( being a bonus whore ) is an actual waste of time. The rate at with you recieve the bonus, i would prefer just playing a normal game and making money, people see bonuses as something you, but i beg to differ. I would treat them just as that , bonuses. Concentrate on playing poker, and take the side cash as a gift ( or bonus ) , not as something that important.

Well, with InterPoker, if you bust out, then you can't clear the bonus playing Poker. However, you can log onto InterCasino and play the bonus money to clear the bonus. So for some players it may be a great idea.
It's something to consider separately to playing poker. It's possible to earn many thousands as a break-even player by playing through the bonuses, but in some cases it (or for some people) it may be faster and safer to accrue the bonuses by playing Blackjack or Video Poker or the like instead, and it allows you to clear bonuses at some of the various casino sites which don't run poker games.
Playing poker just to receive the bonuses often isn't worth the time invested as an hourly rate. However, it can be very useful as a means of boosting your bankroll more quickly than you would be able to otherwise. The reason for playing bingo or video poker or the like instead of poker is that you can potentially clear the bonuses much faster than on the low-limits poker games.

For thoose of us who are not making a great deal of money, but are small time winners or breakeven players, bonuswhoring is definately not a waste of time. I win around $50 per month playing poker, but rakeback and clearing bonusses gives me around $200 per month.

re: using sidegames to clear bonusses poker

Sorry if you misunderstood my post, is not a waste of time, but i just mean , you shoudnt concentrate on the bonuses alone . You should play your solid or losse usual game to make money in poker. I see players who deposit and they play as tight as a fish @$$hole , trying to make money from the bonus, but leaving many +EV plays because they just want to clear the bonus, they pass up great opportunities, just for the sake of some bonus. The even go as far as playing only A , KK , QQ and thats it.

The thing is, if you aren't that great a player, you don't want to get involved on the more marginal hands, and lesser hands can end up havinga -ve EV overall... so then if the ultra-tight play is profitable after the bonus, then it makes some sense to play that way initially, while you get more of a feel for things, and then loosen up as you get more comfortable. Of course, if you play like an idiot and expect the bonuses to cover your losses, then you're in really bad shape, but hopefully nobody on here is like that.
