Dear Senator Rubio, Today the DOJ attacked PokerStars and two other online poker sites and consequently has shut out some 15 Million U.S players from participating in a hobby that we as free Men and Women enjoy playing. I am disgusted with the actions of my government and plan on holding everyone associated this action responsible for their short sighted decision. I request that when the issue arises that you fight for the rights of American citizens to spend their time and money as they see fit, and not what the government deems acceptable. I am angry, and this issue will have profound impact on how I vote in the future. Please do what you can to save online poker in the U.S. Many of us cannot afford to go and play at the poker halls and casinos and have found a place where we can play safely and responsibly play online. Please help...

It's been done. I firmly believe that anyone in congress, including the president has their own crooked agenda to deal with, and frankly poker is not one of them. There are a handful of congress that believe in restoring our poker rights, so good luck though. It'll take a massive effort to turn this around, probably by the poker companies themselves, seeing that they might have a few $ to persuade more members of congress to pass a bill, even after the successful attempt to shut down our fun. p.s. Michael J. Fox and the movie Canadian Bacon were the only good things that came out of canada. Don't move there, if you want to find a country who waves their panties in the wind in times of war, go to switzerland. I hear they not only have poker, but great cheese too.

Giid luck to my American poker playing brothers in their fight to win back the right to choose to play poker in the privacy of their own home. The Uk is getting as bad, first it was smoking, then drinking, then eating healthily, now poker. G overnments seem to want to control every aspect of our life and seem to choose a new target every few months and it is Wrong WRONG WRONG Goverments in supposed democracies like the US and UK need to realise they are elected to run the country not our lives. So please US poker players stand up and fight for your rights cos make no mistake if you lose in the US the UK will be next, so good luck, dont let the bastards grind you down, stand together and FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT TO PLAY POKER

Charade is quite correct in that the way for American poker players to act is to make their voices heard through the various mechanisms he's suggested. As I said previously on another thread the one thing that scares politicians into action is the thought that they might not get re-elected. If you as US citizens state very clearly to your politicians in sufficient numbers that your vote depends on how they act on this single issue this will have an impact.
