Ultimate Bet a Lame site?

I've seen a few post here that people say Ultimate Bet is a lame site.

Why, please be specific.

I've never played there. The reason I ask is that I like to play sites (bigger sites) that offer good first time bonuses. By playing Limit Ring Games its like free money.

I stay off it now after being sucked out too many times on.It seems to me like the bots on there have good cards alot and they're tables are plain graphics are so so but not too great and the freerolls are filled with bots.Thats my opinion anyways Jim.Gl to you on there and I hope you do well.

I just loaded $50 on there to give it a go.. I posted two hands over on the ring game section.. my boat losing to a higher boat.. and then a fish going all in with a pair of nines and hitting trips.. some rough beats that lost me $10 but I moved up in limit and won most of it back.. the site is ok..the bonus should be easier to clear so I will get a free $50.

I must be in the minority around here, 'cause I don't hate UB. I play there some, not a lot, but I keep an account there 'cause a league/"tour" that I belong to has a weekly series there. I don't have any major issues with 'em, I've never had a problem cashing out from there, and their bonus structure is the best of any I've so far encountered. An OK place all around in my book.

I have to agree. I like UB, and think their SNG structure is the best out there. Also, the "Ultimate Buddy" buddy list is the best 'friend' finder of any of the sites.

After a few hours of playing there I saw more wacky stuff than Pokerstars it made me barf.. especially in the bounty tournament. I am questioning my deposit..

I've seen so many more wacky hands at FT than UB. i played the free money UB for a while, and I loved the freerolls. However I am unable to deposit there so I dont know about ring money games. I do know they have blackjack which i'd like to play with money; and I did notice when i looked at money ring games that the player count was low. Bad beats though: I rarely saw big hands, and rarely saw many wacky hands, but that's just me. I played there for 3 years so I've got some insight, but again all freeroll/play chip games.

It's an okay site, but player count is stagnant/low. The people in the play money games, like all play money games, are maniacs, but the MTT's and SNGs are really good in my opinion.

However, it's plain, and it feels old, and again for me as a US player it was pretty much impossible to deposit (at least I gave up after trying 4 different methods).

Yeah, "wacky stuff" never happens in live poker. UB loves being wacky because they hate customers and they hate making money. I heard they are trying their best to scare away every customer that they have with "wacky stuff".

I tried it out for the first time today, and it seems ok. Have yet to decide if it is worthy of a deposit. I am more pleasantly surprised with Absolute Poker. And I just heard of it today as well. Gotta run, playing a game at Wingows....gonna give it a go!

One big problem with AP is their high rake for micro stakes tournaments (20%).

thanks for the opinions and info I might give it a go. i'm going to do some research into bonuses first. i'll post if i find anything good.
