Turbo vs regular I go back and forth on this. Sometimes I love the turbo sngo's, other times I hate them and only play the regular structure. I feel like play is so much looser in the turbo's so patience is rewarded. Then I take some sick beats and rotten bubble finishes that I feel wouldn't have happened in a regular structure. So what do you think? Are the turbos more of a gamble?

Yes turbos are more of a gamble, but you can still beat them you just need a different strategy. I used to hate them untill i found this guide, then i started winning more.

re: Turbo vs regular poker Sometimes I like an all in party. Um -- wait -- let me reword that. Sometimes I like the aggression factor of turbos. After grinding a bit -- this isn't going to work out. Girls can't respond in this thread without double-entendre! Turbos (imo) aren't about the cards so much as aggression in position. And even aggression out of position, with some moderation. They let you run wide open and can be very satisfying after a tortuous bubble/bubble out in a regular SNG. So yes, I think Turbos are, in a sense, more of a gamble. I wouldn't want to run at that speed full time, but it has its place :-)

Turbo tournaments are so tough because its like playing in a tournament live and having blinds go up every 10 minutes. You never get enough time to really get a read on players around the table and your usually forced into making a bad decision usually resulting in a coin flip at best. Good luck at your tables

re: Turbo vs regular poker I love turbo tournaments, I make all my decisions quickly and I like the fast pace. Example, today I played two $16 18-man turbo s&g's..... $108x2 won for first place on both They are my preferance, I was particularily lucky today... I just find the 15 min blind + ones too slow. Exceptions would be like the sunday million or something, which ive yet to play even ^^ but I could tolerate the long blinds.
