| Trying to get RakeBack on FullTilt So here is my dilemma, I want to get rakeback on FullTilt but I already have an account there which I've never deposited on. I emailed their support and they told me I am not eligible for Rakeback because I signed up through the CardChat affiliate. My Monthy Gross Rake in PT3 so far this month is $112 at PokerStars, so if I got 27% of that back that would be $30 which isn't bad since I'm only playing $10 NL right now. Now I was thinking since Full Tilt lets you change your account information like your name and address could I just change that and make a new account through a rakeback site? Or would they notice that I did that and probably close my account. I could easily just make an account under my mom or dads name since they don't play poker at all but I'd rather have it in my own name, it doesn't seem like I will be able to do that though and I just wanted to get some feedback from you guys. |

| Why would it be tricky? I don't think Full Tilt is searching around Poker Forums trying to find people doing things like this. |

| I understand that Cardschat needs people to sign up using their links in order to keep giving freerolls and other tournaments and I don't want to sound selfish but I am playing to try and build my bankroll and make some extra money for myself. I don't plan an continuing to play at $10NL for long because I know my bankroll will keep going up. When I use the rakeback calculators on various rakeback sites they tell me that with the number of hands I play a month I would be getting back almost $400 a month in rakeback, that is a lot of money to me. |

| re: Trying to get RakeBack on FullTilt poker Doing any of this would be illegal. What is with people wanting to pick up an easy buck at the expense of others? And if you're going to do it, at least don't talk about it or ask for advice in a public forum that comes up on google. |

| 1st: Sorry, there is no way within the rules to get your account set up for rakeback. 2nd: NEVER, believe any rakeback sites calculator. We're currently 1/2 way through the month and you're MGR is $112 so figure total month at $225. 27% of that would be ~$60. |

Also, especially if you play 10nl, please don't play full tilt, their rake is atrociously high (10% compared with the 5% by most rooms and even full tilt at higher limits). 10nl probably isn't great, but if you can progress upwards, the pokerstars FPP bonuses are probably as good if not better than the full tilt rakeback. |

And in your other post you mentioned that the FPP program is as good or almost as good as the rakeback I would recieve at Full Tilt. I've looked around some other sites and found this chart. So in order to get rakeback equivalent to what I would get at Full Tilt I would need to get Supernova status and I'm not sure if it is really feasible to get that high even if I was playing $50NL. |

| re: Trying to get RakeBack on FullTilt poker You need to average a little over 36k hands/month to reach this, very feasible actually if you're multi-tabling, but even if not, the point is this: You are proposing to break the law, to steal money that will not be rightfully yours. If the store manager isn't looking, is it still ok to take the candy bar off the shelf? Even if you take a slight hit, my point was that with the FPP program you would be getting some money, and you wouldn't be breaking any laws or stealing money. Also if you use your dad's name the checks will be made out to him, so he'd have to be ok with it. |

| Well I don't think either of my parents would mind if the checks were coming in their names, so that isn't much of an issue. As for your stealing candy in a store metaphor I don't think this situation is anything like that really. There are thousands of people who are getting rakeback from Full Tilt and just because I didn't know about rake back programs when I signed up I simply can't get it now. I've never deposited on the site or played in any real money games, they could easily allow me to delete my account or switch the affiliate I am signed up to without costing them anything. I've read around some other sites and people have been saying that Full Tilt is looking in to ways for people who missed out on Rakeback to get it and since for the moment I'm only playing micro stakes I'll probably just stick it out at PokerStars for now. I know as I move up in limits I'll be able to take better advantage of the VIP program since they have some pretty nice things in their store and maybe by the time I am playing higher limits Full Tilt will have changed their mind about giving people Rakeback. Thanks for all your input. |

Well right now I'm only playing $10NL but by the end of the month or so I'll be moving up to $25NL and continuing to move up as I build up my BR. So far this month I've played 12,700 hands, I've been playing 9 tables at a time mostly and would probably continue to do so at higher levels. |

They use rakeback to help recruit people to their site. You already know about their site so they have no incentive to offer you rakeback. Giving you rakeback definitely does cost them money, where do you think you'd get the money from? Basically you feel sorry for yourself and think you're entitled to this money. You are not entitled to it, it's their choice to offer you the rakeback or not and they've decided not to. You have the choice to not play but if you play you agree to their terms which include not doing any of the things you are talking about doing. You agreed to the terms not to do any of this. It's up to you whether you want to do it, but just know it's illegal, you're breaking the rules. You can try to kid yourself all you want, but you are stealing, plain and simple. If this is ok with you, go ahead, you probably won't even get caught, but to lie to yourself about being entitled to something you clearly aren't and stealing to rectify the situation is what it is. If you're going to lie to full tilt and break the agreement, at least don't lie to yourself. |

| If you've never deposited (I misunderstood this earlier) contact a rakeback site and see if they can help you. Sometimes it is possible before you make a deposit to switch affiliates (since no one has really made any $$ off of you yet). Beats the multi-accounting alternatives imo. |

| re: Trying to get RakeBack on FullTilt poker lol Affiliates are a pretty silly thing anyway for poker sites. The majority of people who were going to play poker were going to play regardless of the affiiliate offer. If its wrong for him to make a new account, then it's wrong for anyone who already knows about fulltilt and was going to play anyway, to sign up for a rakeback deal. Because affiliates are supposed to offer the incentive to play at the room, and if you were going to play anyway, its wrong and your just taking advantage and blah blah blah blah blah...lol @ this thread...get your rakeback bro! |

| Yea im trying to do the exact same thing as you. When i started, i set up several accoutns to spam freerolls to learn etc, then i started playing real money on another site other than FT and haven't played there since. I want to switch to FT because 1. it is an active good site etc and 2. because i want rakeback, which isn't offered where i am now. I emailed them basically saying that i will play at FT if they give me rakeback, otherwise i'll find another site that does offer me rakeback (or stay where i am) and will never play at FT. So far the only thing i can tell is that their email service is PATHETIC...as the site i currently play at always emails back within a few hrs. LOGICALLY, SeanyJ is completely right. As with me, there is ABSOLUTELY NO INCENTIVE to play at FT without getting rakeback. No one is tryign to scam the system...if you have never played real money at FT and would only play real money at FT if given rakeback, that is equivalent to them enticing you to start a new account (coz im sure that FT really intends ppl to start accounts only for freerolls :S). If you have never deposited at a site then that account should be easily enough deleted and you allowed to reregister. However, if im told that they can't do so im not going to try and get around the system ill just find somewhere else. |

| I really don't think you want to make an account. Presumably, FT can track both IP and the computer used, so unless you intend to use a completely different computer and hope that they are ok with multiple accounts from the same IP address, you are best off not risking losing everything you make on the site for the sake of some rakeback... Is the problem that you have a previous account or that you signed up through another affiliate? |
