Truth is not kind, knowing comes from understanding consequences that surround truth. Ignoring or side stepping instinct only to change a thought; only to realize instincts from the heart are different from the actual truth. A cruel thought of misguidance comes from the brain fooling our vision of what is, and this does not let us fully understand our environment. The paradox of poker; the abstract fooling us into changing our minds because of the unknown, finally to reside of not knowing and no matter which choice is made the misguidance could influence either or of a single choice. Result of a single choice, can this lead back to the true path or be left inside a box to ponder one’s own thought about faith of our game? Truth is the ultimate of peace of mind in the game but the paradox is the challenge to stay true to the truth and this is an everyday struggle of a single thought, and yet can this be the demise or savior of faith?
Knowing when the truth is blocked by ego or emotion of the situation this is where instinct should prevail, but the war within one’s own mind is the paradox. When this writer understands that making mistakes in the short term for example, yesterday; playing the usual sit-n-go’s and making bad decisions that normally does not happened in such a clear decision to fold then only to go all in instead? What went horribly wrong? The day before the exact opposite happened every thought, every decision, was pure. So, to not fall into the trap and chase good money after bad, this writer quit and did other poker related activities instead because of knowing not to fall into the trap of thinking my game was above making bad decisions.
Usually this writer would simply put ego and emotion ahead of any thought process. The writers thought process; thinking better skill would prevail over bad decisions and simply put, just play through the bad play, this thinking is part of one paradox this writer is trying to fix and sometimes it can be a huge leak in thinking that transfers into my game.
