| A tournament that made free rolls look good Was just playing in a $1 + .10 buy in tournament w/ rebuys. And Im not bitching about my poor play, which I defenetly felt I was playing poor on top of getting cold cards all night, I just wasnt all "there" if you know what I mean. But Jesus Christ in a chicken basket. I watched the absolute defenition of a donk fest. People would just go all in with absolutly nothing, just because they knew they could rebuy. And to top all that off, they ended up hitting good hands by the river. I really want to read this book that these people are reading. I wonder if its called "Just Go All In, because your a moron". Lol. I have nothing against rebuys, but show some dignity |

| In rebuys you are supposed to play insane for the first hour or until you accumulate a chip stack large enough to your liking. Ill play $10 or $20 dollar rebuy tourneys im playing suited connectors all-in, any pair, any 2 high cards. Pretty much any cards that have chemistry ill push them chips in. Then you can literally crush your opponents into the ground after the rebuy period because you have a massive chip stack. Im sure its worse in a rebuy of only $1... |

if ur not willing to rebuy or play more marginal hands to build ur stack then u shouldnt be playing in the rebuys |

| Well, Im not one to push all in with something like 9 3 os. A suited connector game I can understand. Even without rebuys sc`s played right can do alot of damage. And even just playing mediocre hands i.e Ax, Kx, etc etc... played right can be a powerful thing. (played right!!, not retarded like) I didnt rebuy for a couple of reasons, 1: $1 rebuy donkfest for a couple of hours isnt my cup of tea at 2 in the morning. 2: I had been playing cash games all night, and for the past 3 hours was getting cold cards from Hell. I seriously dont think I won a pot for like an hour. I do remember a split with someone. But none the less, when the cards seem to not go good for that long, its best to just call it a night as to not damage my bank roll any further, and start tilting it all away. Just my philosophy. |
