tipiing dealers

wanted to know if i was cheap.

oviously cash games and tourneys are two different animals

cash games: generally i play 2-5 but there is a local 1-3 game i like to play cause it plays like a 5-5 game really. so if the pot is over $50 i throw them a single. over $100 i throw 2 or 3 chips. over $300 i throw a nickel.

tourneys: this is tough, if you come in top 3 should you all tip the same? i mean 1st should throw say $20, 2nd throw $10, 3rd throw $5 or so. depending on prize amounts

i remember playing at the trop in AC and we chopped top 4 and got like 1800 each on a $100+25 tourney on a sat morning. we all threw down the same cause we chopped, but 1 guy was like no way thats too much...these dealers pool thier tips i believe
