| Tip k I'm a huge geek, but I found this very helpful. Samurize is a program that lets you put text files or even pictures on your desktop over your wallpaper. Great way to display handy things like the date/time, your PC's info, some apps for iTunes or anything you want really. Perfect for keeping a drawing odds chart How-to: -Download Samurize from above link -Run the program -Right click the tray icon, and click Edit Config File... -Create a new config file under the File menu -Click the Edit Meters tab on the right, and under the Add Meter drop-down list, click Add Text -A new set of tabs will appear, and under the Display tab you can type in whatever you want to appear on your desktop. Text is much easier to see on a plain desktop, as seen in my pic above. Adjust the text box in the Design Area to put it wherever you want. While you edit your config file, you can save it (Ctrl+s), and see the updated version on your desktop. Right click the tray icon again, and choose your config file under Select Config File>, then right click the tray icon again and click Reload Config to update your desktop. I made two different text boxes; one with the number of outs in bold, and the other in plain text with my odds. I've attached the exact same text that I've got if you want to get the same thing I have. Spacing matters a lot (it gets kind of screwy for whatever reason), so copy it exactly. |

I don't like the rule of four besides when there's an all-in proposition. You can't use it on the flop because you most likely will be facing a turn bet. This is the reason you can use implied odds though. I learned double the outs and add one. Percentages aren't that tough to convert, just remember that 25% is 3 to 1, 20% is 4 to 1, 33% is 2 to 1. |
