wow, that should bring back some money he lost to patrick some time ago. At the aussie cash game invitational where he lost 500k. for some reasone Patrick kept getting monster hands and Durr kept doing those nice folds.

i dont get why he would play for so long. I dont know about you guys, but after 8 hours of playing, i am brain dead and start to play like a donk b/c i cant think straight

I find when I stay up all night and am really tired, I actually play better, I cant get nervous about opponents hands and I play tighter. I make better calls and folds, but I think this is because when im not tired I overthink hands too much and give too much credit to the other player, whereas when im tired I get straightforward thoughts and dont think as much and just play the cards instead of worrying.

One word: action.

When you're playing low stakes there's no end of action. You can log in any time of the day or night and there'll be a bunch of games running that you can join.

When you're playing nosebleeds like Durrrr is though, the games don't run all the time. There might be nothing happening for weeks, so while the games are running the guys who feel they have an edge try to stay in and keep them going as long as they can.

That's why he'd play so long.

Wonder how long it takes for someone to work out who this Martonas actually is?

Its not guy, he doesnt play anymore in any form of poker.

The guy martonas guy is from sweden, thats about all I know.

Yeah, ive seen him play a few times.
Durrr isen't the only one targetting him tho. Even ivey & antonius get into the tabels once he shows up.

I have much respect for martonas, he manages to hold on verry well even with the big loss he made.
The sickest hand was when durr called his all in bet with over a 400k pot with just king high and he actually won.

Well, that's a far cry from the categorical statement of "he doesn't play anymore in any form of poker." It's more like a gross assumption based on the fact you haven't seen him, but fine, I just thought maybe you had some sort of incident or announcement to point to.

Yeah, Guy is ElMariachiMacho on Full Tilt, and he has not played a single hand this year online in any game.

no pretty sure i just PTR him and hes not existant, aka hes doesnt play any poker anymore in past year, any poker, he plays no poker, at all, hardly a far cry.

I don't know if he still plays or not, but the blanket statement wasn't very convincing. He was a regular at Bobby's Room there for awhile. Guy is a very successful and busy CEO and philanthropist with business and charity interests all over the world, so I could see how that could eat into his poker time.

But I don't know, I just thought from the odd comment that maybe there was some gossip to be found about it. Nothing so far.

Guy L. was playing 200/400 NL at Bellagio in June. Confirmed cause a friend of mine had action on another player in the game. I personally dont see Guy ever giving up poker completely. Maybe he has been too busy this year to play online...

Durrrr is a beeeasssttt!!
Some of his plays in different tv games such as Pokerafter dark cash game session and the last season of HSP he has been like , my hero !

Although coming from sweden and hate it when sweden looks bad lol , i hope martonas will take him out next session and hopefully that im at the computer so i can rail em!

Also the swedish news papers etc still dont know who the hell Martonas is just been speculating in some different swedish pros so far ..?
