Think about your plays

So i'm in a tourney and pick up QQ. I raise, get raised, the raiser gets raised again all in, so i quickly shove all my chips in without evaluating. They both call - one had a garbage hand and before the other guys cards were turned over i quickly realized that he had KK and wished i would have evaluated the situation instead of just shoving. So, a word to the wise, take some time and think before you move in.

I have been playing Queens like Jacks lately. Decent bet to thin out the crowd , might call a re-raise, but I'm not going all in.

Well, scratch that. I did go all in earlier today to basically a similar situation. I raised pre-flop with Ace Queen. Only a few callers. Flop comes

Me: A Q
Flop: Q 9 5

I check because I'm in great shape here. One person raises 1/2 the pot which is about 1/3 of my stack late in a SNG. I decide that this is the hand to go all in.

Me: All In (top pair, top kicker)
Him: call, shows 5 8 (bottom pair, no flush draw)

Turn: blank
River: 8

The guy sucks out two pair and I'm eliminated.
