Is there something fishy here?

I don't play much limit, but have not had too much of a choice since my BR is low.
My Questions are this: 1. Why would someone bring over 2k to this table?

In limit you can take as much as you want to the table. I once saw someone sit down at a micro limit table with somewhere near $30,000.

was it a privately made table?

This is the same with most sites i think, when you play fixed limit you can bring a maximum of 1 mil to the table, i dont see what the problem is here. I see a lot of pple doing this at low limit games, theres nothing fishy about it, they are probably doing it to intimidate the other players or just for fun.

Hmm, could be a table where one of the pro's have been doing the obligatory "play a game at open tables". The techs alter the allowed limits on those tables, I believe. Cant say the name means anything to me though.

LOL yeah Shine I actually took a screenshot of a dude who pops into a .05-.10 game at FTP with 12.000 bucks. I was like WOW 12.000 nice stack. I also checked the cashier and those same limits showed and this is at FTP.

He stayed a few orbs and played like a maniac with cash, we all got a little of his chips though, so his arrival was well taken LOL

I remember playing micro limits ($0.05/$0.10) at Stars once and this bloke with about $10000 or something sits down at the table; he then types in something like, "I'll give $10 to the first person who can tell me where so-and-so lives (so-and-so being a person at the table).

He then goes I'll give $20 to the person who can...etc etc. Unfortunately, I was too slow to answer his questions but the others who were answering the questions correctly assured us that the guy was legit and WAS paying up.

His last question was, "I'll give $30 to the person who can name my son." He had to tell us it began with J. The fun we had frantically typing all names we could think of beginning with J in the chat box.

I have seen this plenty of times. Probably just someone out to have some fun - they obviously don't need the small amount of money they could earn.

When my sister first started playing I would play with her at that limit to help her get comfortable playing. A handful of friends from here joined us several times - some of you would remember. I think Tenbob brought a couple thousand to the table a time or 2 lol. It was all for fun.

i saw tfat for the first time yesterday..I was at a 2/4cent limit holdem at pokerstars when someone came into the game with 1,000 dollars. I had 23 cents and built it up to 1.50 then went to a single table sng. I'm up to 3 dollars mow lol
