Thanksgiving pennies and nickles poker I am so sure that many of you regret the times when internet poker wasn't available and playing the family Thanksgiving pennies and nickles poker was a lot of fun without having all the technology around to cause more problems than it solves.

The times I played my grandparents and aunt and uncle for pennies and nickels were some of the best times I ever remember. Not only was that how I learned to play, but the family time with them was great, especially now that they're all gone but my Grandma. I had to put in my own money, even though I wasn't more than 7 or 8. At the end they gave it back to me but made me put it in anyhow to teach me to play seriously, not just throwing money into the pot. Those saturday night games were great and I miss them terribly.

I too miss the poker playing at our family parties. I still remember this poker bag of coins that I kept so I could play and I also remember losing my money and going off to pout. My grandma would try to give me some money, but my dad would say "no, he has to learn how to lose." As much as I miss those times, I enjoy the technology we have today and playing online.

I still play with my Uncles and Cousins but I look back fondly on the days when we all weren't able to pull out laptops and play whenever we wanted. I would think about the family poker game weeks in advance. Somethings never change though..=)
