Texas Calculatem I've been looking at this place for a while and the program seems pretty nice (especially since you can get it for free) but do you guys think it's worth it? Would a program like this really help my online game? I understand you can't just count on the program 100% to play for you, but would it help me? Thanks *sorry if you can't understand that, very very early for me

well its not completely free of course , i got it a long time ago and it only works on certain site's this is calculatem of course, and you need to make a deposit to use it so if its not one of your sites that it works on you chit outta luck , the way i look at is i do good myself at the tables and if u dont know that q8off is not a premium hand and has a low hand ranking then u better go learn your hand rankings you can just watch the calculatum demo and see he folds most crap hands, but it does provide some valuable info

To 4aces07: You probably have a setting wrong, such as showing stats that are only on people in hands that are 9 handed for example. If you have the option set to 9 handed, and are playing a 6 handed ring game, the stats will never show up for the individual players. Also, the default setting is to only show stats on people that you have a minimum of 25 hands on. It took me a few days of messing around with PT and PAHUD before I got it working. To the OP: These programs are a tool that can help, thats all. In poker, it's all about making the best decision you possibly can based on the limited information that you have. I think that any tool that can help with providing information can be useful to some degree. PT and PAHUD have already basically paid for themselves already and I haven't had them all that long. For example, if someone is 5% VP$IP, I will simply not give them any action at all, but if someone is 40% VP$IP, my range of hands to put them on is far greater and I just might play that Ax in position.

re: Texas Calculatem poker I tried it, but after a while you start to feel "dependent" on it. Like a drug or a cane. It took away the human factor. It replaced my ability to make a calculated decision based on table circumstances and a players betting style, rather than just numbers. I deleted it.

The way to get the 'trial' version to deal with more than those first 1000 hands is to reinstall the trial over the existing files. It's like a new trial (brain dead) version all over again. As a demo of a products ability, I think it is a bad demo. HOWEVER. I have seen many folks here show screen shots and rave about its ability, and I believe them. If they ever incorporate the ease of input that apparently happens nearly seamlessly from PokerStars into a FullTIlt friendly version, I will be seriously tempted to fork out the bucks. |
