Ted Forrest

I don't care for him. I've never really liked him--and the HU match between he and Paul Wasika didn't change a thing. Did anyone see the comment about Paul being a methodical player? Seemed kind a little out of line to me...

I don't watch that much poker, but I've liked what I've seen from Paul Wasika every time. Haven't been impressed with Ted Forrest. I missed this matchup.

I haven't seen much of him, mostly just his appearances on High Stakes Poker, but I like watching him play. He makes some spooky reads, and mixes it up.

Yeah i saw the episode on PAD that you're referring to. Ted was being a complete ass the entire match. Saying how horrible wasicka is for calling a shove w/ AT after forrest sucked out on him on the river (AT vs. K7 i believe). This match really lowered my respect for Ted forest also.

He's a great player and he seems to take beats well. Was funny when Doyles apologized to him for calling him an didiot on high stakes poker.

All the times I've seen Ted play, he seemed very nice, but he was being a real jerk on Poker After Dark. He was also playing pretty bad, going all in with just K high most of the time. I guess you can't always be in a good mood.

Ted use to be dressed nice. On PAD he was dressed like most of the younger players. Maybe he is trying to change his image.

I too saw the matchup between Forrest and Wasicka on PAD. I guess that Ted was upset that Wasicka was taking a while to make decisions, which did appear to be the case. Still, I was totally shocked at Forrest's comments -- they seemed to go against the image I had of him every other time I've seen him play on TV. He always seemed to me to have a lot of class. Probably just having a bad day that day.

As for his game, well, let's just say I wouldn't ever want to be at the same table as him, particularly in a NL cash game. He's capable of outplaying anyone at any time, IMO. Even though he has such a loose image, all his plays seem based on sound reasoning, and it's clear that the image he's created allows him to play any way he wants. And what's even sicker is that he's apparently way better at limit games.

He was on last week's WPT, which I haven't watched yet. Hopefully his manners have improved.

I watched the episode of the WPT with Ted Forrest. He lost a couple of big hands and didn't act badly. Unless they edited out parts, he seemed normal,

i dont know. i think perhaps either they have some bad blood between them that we didnt know about prior to the show, or could be ted just was havin a bad day. i dont know. ted has always been professional whenever i watched him on t.v. i cant see him just all of a sudden turning into a jerk for no reason. doesnt seem likely.

I noticed that too. I kinda thought he was changing his ways in an effort to compete with today's intimidating way of play.

He turned his hat around and everything.

All of this crap is just TV play is you ask me. Does anybody think Khan is really a raving maniac? Just trying to catch a little of Helmuth's ability to capture the media with his crap. The problem for them is. They don't have so many bracelets that they can't wear them at all once.
