| taking a bad beat good naturedly So heres the set.....i have pocket10's.....guy 2 seats ahead of me raises 3 times bb......i call everyone else folds....flop comes up A 8 J......he checks and i check......turn card is a 9.....he bets 2100....i call thinking he is slow playing aces or value betting a small pair while i have an open ended str8 draw plus still have 5000 chips left....river card is a 10...trips baby gotta be good.....he goes all in....i smile and call...and he shows pocket J's......i lol and tell him well played which he laughs about and congrats me too |

| re: taking a bad beat good naturedly poker It also already happened to me, but I is who set off the face, I had AA, and he had 66, I played well on, betting low, had turned a flop in As, then in turn turned into a 6, the man thought it would I press, already backed up, I gave an all in and he came, took all stacks hehe |

| i have suffered some bad beats to and i try to make lite of it to as everyone can suck somethin out every now and than so you really cant get mad when someone beats you cause im sure you have sucked out on someone else before |

Thirdly, you say you were happy to se ethe 10 when earlier in the post you said you put your opponent on ACES and you were only calling because of the straight draw. So then why call his all in on the river if you say your putting him on aces ? Im not saying i would have folded i would have called also, all im saying is what you said about the hand doesnt make sense by the way you played it! |

| I think both people played it horrible. The guy with pocket J's went all-in with 8,9,10, and J on the board. Queen or 7 and he's beat. Slow playing has good and bad points, but you got to see the board and play it safe here. Worked out for him, but he was lucky. |
