As a woman one of the things I most love about poker is that the playing field for men and women is totally level, unlike physical sports. From my perspective poker transcends gender, ultimately rendering a debate such as this irrelevant regardless of numbers.

last time i checked; phil ivey, jesus, brunson, moneymaker, Johnny Chan, ect were all guys.

Erm... why would we need such a list? We already know what it would look like.

The Hendon Mob only list 14 women with lifetime seven-figure tournament earnings. Kathy Liebert, Annie Duke, Annette Obrestad, Jennifer Harman and Vanessa Rousso are the top five.

By comparison, there are 50 men who have made seven figures just from tournaments held this year.

This only tells us about the quantity of women entering tournaments though, not the quality of their play. So I'm really not sure what a list was supposed to prove?

While I still maintain that poker transcends gender, if we're fiddling around with lists and numbers what might be interesting to look at would be the relative percentages of cashes. Here's a grass roots, simple example: 2 months ago I played a $60.00 tournament at one of the riverboat poker rooms that paid the top 5. Out of a field of 80, 76 contenders were men and 4 were women. I came in second; another gal came in 4th. The men placed 1st, 2nd and 5th. 50% of the women who played cashed. In contrast, only 4% of the men did.

What does this prove?!

Dont really thing there is any difrence in men and women poker players(except that alot of guys give girls at the table litle credit witch is usualy good for the girls).
Only difrence is that there are more men playing poker hence more men winning tournaments/playing noisebleeds imo.

...imo, facts speak....ration of men playing in wpt to winning wpts compared to women....successes of men compared to women in cash games... its simple
