Do sunglasses really help your chances of bluffing actually working?

sunglasses

I don't know if they help but they look cool...I guess you could see the other players reactions without them seeing where you eyes are looking ... could be helpful : )

hi
my suggestion is that sunglasses don't really help u bluff. I can tell u that i would need a turtle neck and winter hat to play in a real poker table. That's why i love online poker. lol

I think ppl wear them more for not showing their play rather than reading others play....some ppl just cant bluff and their eyes are a dead giveaway.

If you're sitting alone, at home, in the dark playing online poker sunglasses probably won't help you. If you're playing out doors on a sunny day LIVE, they will definately help. Upside down marcel style, now you're talking intimidation..

I was playing in a cash game ($1 $2 NL)2 nights ago, The flop came As Kh Jc , I was sitting next to a friend of mine who showed me her cards (Ac Jh)(i had folded) . She bet $10. Her opponent called . The turn Ah .. She checked .. he All in ... now she has 3 aces and a nut flush draw... Her opponent is blinking very rapidly and staring dead at the king on the bd.. she folded and he showed 2 kings for a full house.. He really neede sunglasses on this hand....

I think sunglasses helpa little bit. Eyes sometimes tells you what kind of hand he/she has. If they have a good hand, their eyes widen a little . It may noit help that much, it can't hurt, providing ou can see the cards with the sunglasses. LOL!

Sunglasses don't really assist in anything for me personally. I have played live poker witha nd without them and people have told me that all they do is make me look funny. Personally, I think that eyes arn't that important as is body language/ motion.

Bluffing & Sunglasses.

To me, wearing sunglasses would increase your chance of bluffing.

Your opponent wouldn't be able to get a read on you because he or she couldnt see your eyes.

Sometimes, i can read people like a book that i'm up against because there eyes will look around the room, for example, and not at the table.

I think they are good. Sometimes those with a good hand will either not look at you or look straight down at the table, their are loads of different tells

My advice....if you cant control your eyes, wear sunglasses!

And dont wear a tight shirt....you can see your heart bounces through your shirt when u got pocket rockets!

Yeah, sunglasses never hide my "OKAAAAYY" when I get a good hand. LOL But they do look cool. I'd like to find some really funny ones and wear them at the table just for fun. At our local casino - I looked around for sunglass wearers and didn't see any! Of course I think they were all playing Limit Holdem so bluffing is a bit difficult there.

Colin - Can you feel your heart beating with a winning hand too??!!!!

Yeah I do sometimes, all depends on how good the hand hand. I was playing on Ladbrokes a few days ago, called with A 3 and flop shows 3 3 3. I nearly fell off my chair!

Needless to say I won a nice pot checking through to river, knowing NOTHING, bar a miracle, could beat me. Had I been at a table, I would have cried!

lol...I love it when people wear glasses, I think it is funny that they feel they can not control their emotions and like to harrass them in a jokingly way and see if I can get them on tilt or a reaction.

I actually think that wearing sunglasses can give you away more often that help you. I have played against many players who take off sunglasses when they have a big hand and put them on when they are bluffing

shades means you can look at other players that your playing against without them knowing your looking at them so you can pick more tells up on them, but no unless you hide all your tells then sunglasses are pretty useless and you never know the glasses may be a tell in its self ( i let you guys think on that one)
