| Sunday $100k on Pokerstars It's $11 to enter, top 15%+ money, and if you get a really good finish you're rich. Anyone else done it yet? Sure if you even want over $100 you need to be in top 270, but it seems very likely to hit the money playing a strict super tight strategy, and if you get really really lucky and end up making the final table, you've got yourself over a thousand bucks. Anyone else play this? Did they find it not tough to money? I may try it next Sunday. |

If I had more money, I'd play in a tourney like the nightly hundred grand, $162 entry, but the prize pool is $100k regardless. Saturday night, 604 entered. It's a $150+$12, so even with the 12 added, that would be a prize pool of 97,848. That means that pokerstars loses money in this. Usually home games are better because there is no rake, but this tournament has a negative rake. I just don't have $162 to spare on a poker tourney. And I'm wondering if even fewer play on weeknights. I'll check out tonight's. It started at 9:00, ended at 3:30 am. Lot more willing to do that on Saturday night than Monday night I'm thinking, but I guess I'll see. If I win the Sunday hundred grand, I'll use $162 of that on a nightly hundred grand |

| re: Sunday $100k on Pokerstars I played it sunday , had 18,500 people , paid top 3000 , I went out at about 4600 , I don't think you can play too tight thru that many people , by the time you get rid of 15,000 people to get close to the money , the blinds and antes are eating you up quick . I play tight but you have to gamble too. $11 is a little high for me , but I love it , that dream of making the final table. good luck guys , hope to see you there. |

But I'll probably try the $2.20s, even if you only make 7th, you get $6, basically triple your entry fee. |

haven't played the SnGs yet , the reg. tourney 2.20 , gets about 150 people and pays like top 30 , pretty good odds . If you find any of them quite easy , you can win as many as you want , then unregister and get credit in tournament dollars. |

| Well I finally got there, but it took me 7 sngs at $2.20 a pop to win it, so I paid $15.40 for my $11 ticket. Just couldn't get a hand. I should have had it the third sng in, I get AA with about 3,000 chips. I double up and I can literally check-fold for the win. I raise from UTG, everyone folds and BB shoves. I call, he flips over QQ and hits a Q to win. I actually realized I won't be here Sunday to play in it (baseball double header), so I don't know if I'll end up playing a $12 180-player, some small single table sngs, or just save it for 2 weeks from yesterday. Guess we'll see. |

| re: Sunday $100k on Pokerstars Well I spent it on a 180-person $12 sng, stole 2 blinds in first cycle, folded SB and BB, pick up KK, raised to me, I re-raise, he shoves, I call. QQ. Flop comes QQx. I lose, there goes my $12 . Back to grinding cash games. |
