Suited unconecteds cards.... Alot of people seem to be playing any two cards to any preflop raise. I try to stay away from them but so many of them seem to be hitting flushes these day. Maybe its just the 'online' factor but is it a good idea to play them? Does any one play them regularly? and how often do they pay?

It seems like it, doesn't it. Just now I made a big raise in a pot with several limpers, I was deals AA. Now this one guy calls me, and the flop comes out all hearts. Turns out he had 23 of hearts. People tend to go all in more on flush draws these days in my opinion. Can really piss me off when they calls against the odds and hit. Maybe they watch Hanson en Negreanu and decide that's gonna be their style too or something. Personally I don't hit that often on flush draws. Strange thing.

I tend to avoid low suited unconnected cards. There is just too many things that can go wrong. Most people that play them on a regular basis will wind up losing their stack in the long run. I does get frustrating when when people go in on hands they have no business being in and wind up winning the pot. cheers, Cicero

If you can get in cheap and playing these hands every oonce and a while can bust someone. Every once and a while you will get the nut flop and bang look out for the fireworks. When it happens it feels great, when it doesn't an auto fold is the play and move on.

If they "connect" in any way like A-10s, K-9s, Q-8s, J-7s and so on - even better. If I get a high raise before the flop - fold. I don't chase the flush draw, I'll check to it and call any minimum raises, sometimes I even place minimum raise which must be considered a weak bluff. Good opponents reraise this. - I do not get many raises, though. Maybe they put me on medium pair ? I do not know. If I hit the flop or the turn with a flush or a 2 pair it's time for rock'nroll. like mortis said: Suited cards = automatic nuts I thought everybody knew that. |
