Succesfull rocket by pro?

Anyone remember a pro doing a succesfull rocket? Might have been Chris Ferguson, but cant find any stories on it.

And who in hell is Matteo Poker - Rocket??? (try googl'ing "poker rocket).

Did find out Chris Ferguson has a few sidelines as both pro racing driver and NASA astronaut (googl'ing "chris ferguson rocket).

Guy Liberte (sp?) just went into space on a Russian rocket. Cost him $32 million for the ride.

What the hell is a rocket?
Is that the slang term for poker players who start with nothing and build it into something? From the article you posed, that's the only explanation I can come up with.

OP didnt really make his question very clear.
I think he is asking what poker pro just whent into space.
Its Guy Laibert(SP?), the owner of Circus Soile.
Kinda hard to call him a pro since its widely known that he is was the biggest loser in online pokers history and frequent donator at the "big game".

He bought his ticket for $32M.

ah every1 knows about fergusons zero to $10k challenge. Thats y u see all the threads sayin "im gonna do my own $0 - $1000 challenge!" etc etc. Old News now lol...

Was opening my party poker account, which has been sitting there for a long time unused and found some bonus $ waiting. Thought i would do something other than just throw them at the first game i came along and now the Ferguson rule book can serve as a guideline.

Not dreaming about building 10k bankroll, but slowly building a small one and gradually climbing with the bankroll will be a nice change.

So far im at $15 (one $5 and one $10 bonus - another $40 or so waiting depending on the number of hands i rack up).

Chris Ferguson is definitely the most famous one - though he didn't start his entire bankroll from scratch, just his online one.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Annette Obrestad started her roll from zero and IIRC a few very successful players on here have done the same thing as well - ChuckTs, amirite?
