| Heard they went after 1 or more sites after BF also. I don't recall which ones but figured this was coming eventually. Only a matter of time before they go after some of the other small sites. Between the U.S. government actions against online poker and threads like this http://www.cardschat.com/f4/really-watch-201192/ (http://www.cardschat.com/f4/really-watch-201192/) really makes me want to start a revolution! |

| DAMN.... This is why I pulled out of poker online....Black Friday shut me out!! I'm a New Yorker, and I found myself shut out of THREE different sites!! I really hope this does'nt get far, or at least we'll have other sites to shuffle chips with. Just when I started to play again.... |

And stop pissing on my poker, I am trying to think positive about this. The DOJ has gone after quite a few sites, Bodog and Doyles, being a couple of them, and those sites are still around. |

Actually, most of the Merge sites have said that the funds are "separate" from operating funds. Not to be a nit but that is different from segregated funds which is where each players money is effectively in its own individual trust fund account. Separated funds is excellent but not quite the level of protection that segregation would provide. Still, I wouldn't panic about this. They have gone after processors before and will again. Since Merge apparently does their cashouts in once per month batches they would have to time it perfectly to actually seize any money in the US. Its not like Merge bought a bank or is doing E checks. Also, they have switched to .eu domains so they won't get those seized and I doubt that their are any Merge executives who are over here waiting to get arrested. I would say don't cash out right now just sit on your money and keep playing. Its probably safer onsite than in transit. |

| Hmm I have $257 that I built from $0 and it represents A LOT of blood sweat and tears so I'm really torn about this... I almost want to withdraw it right now because I'm scared of it being seized but at the same time I really really want to try to make this cash grow... Mmm this is a dilemma... Looking at the withdraw button atm... |

| FU**ING DOJ !!!!!!!!!! So sick of the damn government and their sh**. Until they can get child porn , medications drugs and other more serious shit taken off the web they need to butt the hell out of online poker.... This pisses me off...... I am trying like hell to get out there into the poker world and every damn time I start to pull ahead the US Government takes a big steaming pile of shit on my hopes...... I am soooo freaking livid right now .. my major site was Merge since FTP went down and they seized my funds there. I work a FULL TIME job and am on call all and I do MEAN ALL the time...... online is the only place with the exception of maybe once or twice a month where I can go live... How in the hell am I supposed to be learning and making a few bucks playing poker if they keep doing this sh**. Message to DOJ and the White House... WE DO NOT WANT THIS .......... SO KNOCK IT OFF....... Otherwise when it comes around to voting time you will no longer be in the position you are in NOW !!!!!!!!!!... Ok....... now that I done with the rant time to edit my language. |

| IMO, Eric Holder and the DOJ are one of the biggest reasons to get rid of Obama. Not only did Black Friday and the resulting fallout suck, but rather than fighting real crime they persist in pursuing victimless crimes. Holder's excuse that he is just enforcing existing laws is lame since he doesn't enforce the DOMA and selectively enforces other laws. Too bad Full Tilt and Stars weren't on Holder's buddy list: DOJ easy on companies Quote: Defending the department’s approach a spokeswoman said deferred prosecution agreements require that corporations pay penalties and restitution, correct criminal conduct and “achieve these results without causing the loss of jobs, the loss of pensions and other significant negative consequences to innocent parties who played no role in the criminal conduct, were unaware of it or were unable to prevent it.” The DOJ continues to insist that state's medical marijuana laws do not exempt them from the archiac federal drug laws that put marijuana on Schedule I (which categorizes marijuana with the worst drugs which have no medicinal value, are the most addicitve and the most likely to be abused, despite numerous studies to the contrary). Guns to drug cartels then obstructing investigation after agent Brian Terry was killed. Opposing a motion by Terry's family to have him qualified as a crime victim. DOJ didn't do it's job protecting our borders yet is suing states for trying to curb illegal immigration and the horrible effect it is having on their states. Fining Goggle for taking Canadian pharmacy ads. Politics of raid on Gibson guitars, not raiding other guitar manufacturers using the exact same wood. |

But I have actually been waiting for a couple of months at least - they hid my money from me without notifying me so I had to get the run around from support for weeks before I could access my money to request an withdrawal. Then they requested all the usual paperwork and due to horrible communication from them ended up denying my first request. |

| re: Subject Poker: “DOJ Plans Action Against Merge” Is this a possibility???? I'm going to Europe at the end of October for a 3-week tour....if I was able to get a friend to let me use his euro-address and download/register on one or more sites(with his IPS) would I be able to come home and play on my computer/IPS? Just asking, and trying to find a way to outplay DOJ |
