boring day. Husband going to a all guys only SuperBowl Sunday Poker Fest. I`m pissed too. Thinking about going to WinStar. Never been by myself,so girls, would you go by yourself?

Why be pissed? The SuperBowl is a historical event in many circles. Let your man do his thing once a year.

What is "WinStar"? If it is a casino, why not go by yourself? Just make sure you can make it home (stay sober or get a ride) and don't stay too late after dark.

Superbowl Sunday *IS* sacred but it's too bad they had to put up the "Gurls Keep Out" sign. My husband is a little miffed because he's acting in a play for someone who callously scheduled a rehearsal for this afternoon. We'll be recording the game, avoiding all media, then watching it when he gets home.

Our biggest one here has SuperBowl Sunday, lots of cheap and free food, lots of beer, special drawings, giveaways and more I can't think of. Didn't go becuase they projected a packed house, and their parking lot looked like it would be packed earlier today when I drove by.

WinStar is a Casino in Okla. My husband plays with the guys every Thurs. The other wives dont play poker. I guess I`m from the old school and women just dont go to places " like that alone". Just an excuse.....I`m really just a chicken to walk in a place by myself. And I just NEVER liked football.

Wish I could help ya here. My advice may not apply to you. I could keep up with most guys on football. And I love football. And poker too. If my husband or S.O. attended a party poker that excluded me on Superbowl Sunday, I'd have to question the entire relationship. Really, SB Sunday is like X-mas for me.

I've always been very independent, and never hesitated to go anywhere myself if I thought it would be fun. I got my own drink money, and a ride/cabfare/walk home. Think whatever they wanna. Desparate? Lonely? We'll see. You don't owe anyone anything, not even the time of day much less a dance. There again, I'm from NYC and was brought up...different.
