Poker - Stupid 7 Card Stud Question

I have a question. It seems stupid til you think about it.
A friend of mine played a 7 card stud tournament at Poker Host and noticed something. 7 cards per player. 8 players at the table. = 56 cards if everyone stays in til seventh street. I know its rare, but has anyone seen what would happen when the 7th card is dealt? -- Vinnie ![]() |

Yes, one card is put in the middle for everyone to use as their river card, at first I had no idea why there was 1 card in the middle of the table after the river, but I later realized why... |

Right, thats my point... that all poker sites should limit their stud tables to 7 people so that the rules are consistant throughout the tournament or ring game, whichever it is. Its rare, but why have a big swing in strategy or game play with a community card?
