The tourneys are pretty soft if you are prepared to play the rock and have a good strategy. |

| re: stud H/L poker Stud Hi/Lo, along with razz, my favorite games. I find they both have more information available, if you study the cards on the table. You probably know this, playing at PokerStars, but just incase you don't - PokerStars has good freerolls, to gain experience (Tourney/Freeroll/Eddington's Stud Hi/Lo). They run often thoughout the week and the top 100 qualify for a $2000 tournament on Saturday or Sunday Tournament.Good luck. |

Start with three small contected cards (i.e. 3-4-5) or three small flush cards (i.e. 3s 4s 6s) or three small cards to a gap straight (i.e. 2-3-5 or 4-5-7). Your goal should be to scoop the pot. The most likey way you can do this is to have five different cards under eight and a straight or flush. Study the table. What cards do you need to complete your hand and what does it look like your opponent(s) need. Are these cards displayed or folded. (i.e. you have 2346 and you see two other 6's and 3 other 4's then you know you will not double up with the 4 or unlikey to double up with the 6. If you do not see a 5 and only one ace then you are in good shape to continue.) I'm only new to the game myself, but have enjoyed a fair bit of success in the short time I have played it. Let me kown how much of a beginner you are. The above is only a start and very basic. Hope it helps. |

You will find a good strategy in Doyle Brunson's Super System. As Doyle says "A high hand can't turn into a low hand, but a low hand can turn into a high hand and you scoop the pot." |
