If the players at the table all agreed to it, then they could do it right? I mean they wouldn't need help from the online card room would they?

No, they need the software to accommodate them. When there is a live straddle in play, then the person paying the third blind gets to act last PF. Online poker software does not do that.

One of those "shady" sites, Oddsmaker, used to have straddle in their software but I just checked today and it's gone. I had forgotten I still had $200 on there from the original $50 they gave me to sign up.

I only saw it used a few times, it seems interesting to get a tight table gambling some.

I know I saw that expression on a players chair just recently, but I don't remember where. I didn't want to look dumb by asking what the hell it met...so thanks for the explanation

We recently started putting straddles on in my home game. Although it raises the price to play, it really ignites action at the table and provides for some large pots.
