Squeezing cards

I love to squeeze cards when playin live poker. Its great when u put ur cards 2getha, wait till it's ur turn then look at the 1st card. U see it's a As n ur like ooooh then u squeeze it slowly praying for another ace. U squeeze a little bit harder then BAM u find the 5h lol.

Dunno why i do it but i find it fun.

Do u squeeze cards?

Not really - I figure the cards aren't changing no matter how slowly I look at them so what's the point?

When I play live I like to play Indian style. I put the cards face up on my forehead so everyone can see my hand but me. Then I bet at random based on the flop/turn/river.

no i dotn squeeze bc it takes time . . . . all that time ur wastin g every turn taking forever to looks at ur cards is time that i could have been playing poker . . . and if u do it eveyr hand that adds up . . . stop doing it

I used to look at my cards before everyone had gotten theirs but unfourtanatley I often play with drunks so they occasionally deal some downside up which then involves me returning my beautiful pocket kings.

(Although when I did show the hand I had everyone folded the next time, including the big blind which I was rather moved by.)

Nope, I look at those cards right away so I know exactly what I've got and what I want to do. Also, I do not want to waste others' time by being too slow. You ever get scolded for being slow?

I only play online and the last time I squeezed cards together my monitor slapped me for getting fresh.

No, I don't squeeze my cards and I don't see any sense in doing it. I've played with other players who squeeze them and they always slow the game down.

I look at the cards when the person in front of me acts. I don't squeeze them, just look and hope for a good hand.

i watch everyone lookin at there cards first to get tells of there body language and then ill look at my own cards by then the whole table its probably looking at me but i have a idea where i stand because i have read the rest of the players by then

always squeeze,but i was brought up playing live i have been caught covering the screen online an squeezing also i LIVE IT.

Yes as of recently ive been playing live from a CCers suggestion of a live game... I have been squeezing a few times and those few times ive gotten some wired pairs as well as aces and kings... Been working well so far so ill stick with whats working at the time

live games in a casino, squeeze if u must, but do it when there's still 2-3 players before u to act. cos basically it's just a attention-seeking antic if u do it ON your turn to act, and u want everyone looking at u. as people have said before, it slows the game down, dont do it.

Squeezing is fine, but be consistent with your squeezes. If the first card is an Ace, a lot of people like to pause to extend the drama before looking at their next card.
This is primary a tell for drawing games (if they need to catch something they prolong their anticipation by peeking slowly, whereas if they already have a good hand they just look).

I tend to take a quik look in late position,then focus on the table and how they are playing there cards.
In early position I will just look at them and decide wheter to call,raise,or fold....

I only play online....so I tried squeezing online and I broke my monitor...go figure....

I never answered the actual question, cuz I wanted to discuss different squeezing. But when I play live I squeeze em out my own way. I look at the first when it hits me, then observe the action at the table, and when it's on me squeeze the 2nd card.

Gives you some excitement without giving too horrible a tell. I used to make sure I didn't look at any till my turn, due to tells, and should be looking at others for tells too. But after a few hours I'd have a good idea of who plays like how, and could afford to do non-productive things a little, lol.

Its funny when you are watching people Squeeze when they don't usually.. As you know they saw an A with their first card... really stupid tell.. But I love it.

Personally, look at your cards the same each time cause if you don't your are leaking!

I have never laughed so hard during poker as when we played that style for one hand... haha we all just kept looking at eachother and laughing and when someone bet with nothing we would laugh even harder.

If somebody has never tried this.. you gotta do it at least once, it's a grand ole time.
