SpadeClub 2008 Player of the Year Shares Advice

The entire interview is very informative and enlightens me as to the leaps and bounds I have to go in terms of improving and training at poker. He shares his extremely successful advice he used to win player of the year and is looking to get signed by Full Tilt or Stars soon if he can't get signed by SpadeClub. Impressive dedication to the game...

I'm not getting the relationship between the gears he describes and the blind levels - and I'm going to think about the "observant" description, not sure I completely get that one either... thoughts?
