Sound Effects Problem

I always have this problem and was wondering if anyone had it... I like the sounds of the game that the software makes while im playing cuz it helps me know whats going on more...

However once and awhile the sound goes out in the middle of the game for some odd reason, and id have to restart the software (and sometimes that doesnt work) to get the sound back...

Has anyone had this problem before and if so found a way to fix it without having the restart? It happens to me on bodog and fulltilt quite often, and im not quite sure why... any help would be great, thanks!

It has not happened for a while, but I think (some experience with computers) it happened when I was browsing through other windows, other sites, non poker sites, whatever. Under certain circumstances the other software grabs your sound and doesn't release it correctly.

It will happen predictably if I am playing a non online game in another window. In my case it would be URU. WHen I get back to poker, there is no sound. Closing URU doesn't do it, Only exiting the poker site, and re-entering.

Since I finished URU, I am not sure it has happened.

I hate the sound at the tables, it's always the first thing I disable. Can you imagine the sound nine tables make at once - it's damn deafening!!!!
