sorry, just have to vent. . .

there was another thread about this too, but i can't remember which one so i'll just let my steam out here. . . beat again by some all-in idiot!!!

we're two handed - idiot goes all in. i have AhQh so i call (which i guess i just shouldn't do anymore. . .). this dummy's cards turn over, and he has 5 6 off suit! community cards are dealt, he draws a full house!!!! i'm losing my mind playing against these dolts. . .

sorry for the rant, as i'm sure there are quite a few of these type threads that sprout up here and there. just had to get it off my chest!

whew! i feel much better!

Playing heads up people loosen up their starting hands. How was he playing before to get to the final 2? If he was tight, he may have thought he could scare you with an all-in. What were the blinds and chip stacks? Connecting cards are not bad to play h2h so I wouldn't be to pissed at him. Looks like you just had a bad beat.

Going all in with 6-5os is pretty extreme regardless of the circumstances. Don't think that I'd want to bluff with that. And in heads up, who would take the risk? Guess you just have to laugh that one off.

My latest steam builder: I am in a Paradise Million qualifier. First hand I get AA in early position, so I make a substantial raise. Someone goes all in and is called. Don't want to lay down AA preflop in a freeroll, right? One guy went in with A-10s and the other with 10-8os! The flop brings an 8, the turn is an 8, ...

Always comforting to get the message from Paradise: Congratulations. You finished 9,999,992 ... lol

You were 60 - 40 to win. I've seen worse.

Depending on your chip stack, and some other calulations, heads up you are almost even money all the time, I personally will call with almost anything heads up, its usually a 50-50 deal or close to that, like rob said you were 40-60, Thats why they call it a Coin Flip, better luck next time, its happened to all of us. buck

re

Nice, a rant thread, now I can blow off some steam too!

I've now placed out of the money in 10 straight SnG's ( my ITM % was 45% going into this stretch )

1st game, 4 players left SB goes all in I'm in BB with AA, I call he flips over 7,8 & catches a straight!

2nd game, down to 5 players super aggressive player goes all in, I call with AK, he flips over AQ, a Q comes on the river

3rd game, 4 players left I go all in with AK, get called with KJ, villian catches a J high straight on the river

4th game, very 1st hand I'm delt KQ ( both clubs ) 3 clubs on the flop no clubs on the turn or river I get all in against A,2 ( clubs) 10th place

5th game, 1st hand I have K,10 the flop comes no help to me, its being checked around & the guy next to me goes all in & I call by misclick, out 10th place!

6th game, I get garbage all game, I'm down to 700 chips & the blinds are getting up there, I go all in with AQ, get called with AQ, villian catches a flush!

7th-10th I end up busting out in a tilt induced rage

currently taking a few days off from poker.

lol tucker - mabe a break is whats best!

i agree with you all here - after all, that is the game of poker. the reason for the rant was just because i'm going through a stretch of exactly these types of beats right now, and i gotta hit the steam valve!

thanks again for listening!
