So you went on tilt now what?

So last night I totally went on tilt, I ended up tightening up more then usual and forgetting how to play hands....I felt lost.

So what is the best way to handle tilt if you go on tilt??

just play your usual game. i like to get rid of the icons on fultilt as I find them to childish and distracting. Try and play a bit more loosely on cards you usually would. However, if you cant get into your usual habit, it is probably better to take the advice of the guy above me and walk away for a bit.

You must take a rest, go out of the tables, and return with new forces and play in his style in that feels comfortable; beside checking your mistakes.

Hi All,

For me to handle the times I go on tilt, I get up and walk away. That's the only way for me to focus my thoughts and rid myself of all the emotions causing me to plaly that way. After a bit, I sit back down whether live or at my pc. Then I feel ready to take it down.

When I am on tilt, it is always hard to leave the table. Coz I want to take the money I lost. But if I am aware that I am on tilt, I try to play onlty the best hands not the crab like T9s from UTG. I try to tighten up. Play tighter... Eventually tilt goes away.

Lol, I swear this just happend earlier tonight, well long story short this morning had woke up, and made about 100 or so, and then in the afternoon went back and made about another 400 or so, anyways, left, came back and lost about 350 or (I hope you follow), anyways, I was beyond tilt, so I just said to myself, 4 things, your better then these luck box's, have a smoke, put on some tunes, and stay and win your money back, playing the way you normally would, anywho Now I can say I did all this, and it really helped me, I got all my money back, plus alittle profit, just do something that keeps your mind at bay so your not just staring at a screen, yelling, and cursing, best advice I can give you

The instinctive answer is to put a band-aid on tilt, rather than working backwards, and figuring out why, when, and how often you go on tilt!

What are your triggers? When you feel like tilt is getting closer... shift your focus. When you notice it's on the way, simply becoming aware will make a huge difference. Shift your focus to each decision, rather than those results that are putting you on tilt. Ironically, tilt would cease to exist if we didn't focus so much of our attention on LOSING.

Tilting less is a life-long process, but the fact that you're becoming aware of how it destroys your game, is the first step to fixing it.

Again, be aware of why, when, and how often you tilt... and practice immediately shifting your focus back to your those things you can control.
