A slowplayed trap and the hand that set it up

I think these two hands, taken together are very interesting. I hope you do, too.

This was hand #32 in a freeroll at Full Tilt. I slowplayed QQ into a huge pot. However, this hand was set up by an earlier hand that is described below this hand. I was playing both the cards and the player. My comments are in red.

Here is the earlier hand that allowed me to go all-in and get a call. The hand below looks like an unnecessary bluff that would have busted me out of the tournament early. However, the situation make this a reasonable play. I’d been getting ideal hands; either complete garbage or good hands. My flop percentage was about 20% and I had won 75% of hands where I saw the flop. The table was scared of me. I had won every showdown except one. Also, “ThePirateJoshua” the victim in these two hands was playing aggressively pre-flop, then slowing down if he didn’t hit. However, if the table checked to him post flop, he’d always bet. Note we have the exact same amount of chips and are the co-chip leaders.

Yep you did very well in the first hand. I think your opponent has two pair. The flush & set probability was quite overwhelming and he made a good fold.

But I have no idea why he made the horrible call in the 2nd hand.
