Simple math question regarding winrate. I'm retarded when it comes to math, maybe someone can help me. I'm trying to figure out the formula to find out your required winrate to reach a certain amount over a specified sample of hands. Say theoretically you plan to play 1/2 for 40 hours per week for 51 weeks per year and your yearly nut is $15,000. Assuming you are dealt, on average, 30 hands per hour that equates to 61,200 hands in one year's time. What is the required winrate needed to reach your nut of $15,000? In hourly and bb/100 please. So, in short.. How do I find the required winrate to reach $15,000 at 1/2 over a sample of 61,200 hands for this specific example? These are just rando numbers, I'm looking for the forumla to find the winrate in bb/100 and hourly. Thanks

40 hours/week * 51 weeks = 2040 hours. 15,000/2040= $7.35 per hour. The best way to do this is to find out your BB/hour and figure it out from there. say you had 3 BB/hour at 1/2. 6*40 hours = 240 240* 51= 12240 I hope this helps

(Needed/bb)/(number of hands/100)=bb needed to meet requirement So in your example: (15000/2)/(61200/100) or 7500/612 or 12.25bb/100 To check 12.25bb/100 = $24.50 per 100 hands at $1/$2 or .245 per hand $0.245 * 61200 = $14,994 (rounding error)
