well seeing as money went in preflop when he had you dominated I would call it unlucky.

i took it on the chin, no big deal. as they say, that's poker. i needed to double up badly and told myself that i was gonna push with any ace. o well. it was fun none the less and i won some money, so no big loss.

I wouldn't be too upset about getting beat by a hand that had you beat pre-flop. Especially since all the action happened pre-flop. Even if you made your move after the flop, the guy had top two pair at that point and you can't fault him for calling. Can't really call that a bad beat. A bad beat is some guy catching an inside straight on the river after you've priced him out of every card since the flop, on which you caught trip aces with king kicker. Just to make it special, let's say the donkey had nothing (not even a pair) after the flop and two of your three aces came on the flop to scare any sensible donkey away. Now that's a BAD BEAT!

i'm not mad about it, i wasn't then either. i don't think it's a bad beat. i called it a sick beat. to me there is a difference.
