Should I be a bad winner/ insult my opponents all the time, to put them on tilt I was thinking why are people so nice to each other on poker? The aim of the game is to take there chips. So why would I compliment there good plays saying nice hand? Instead I should insult them to annoy them and put them on tilt, right? I I'm correct is there also a type of image it works best for? E.g is it best to play tight when insulting opponents so it makes them overplay there hands and pay you of, or maybe bluff you when you got the goods? Or does it not matter? Thing is I see Tony g whose very reckless but seems to love to insult opponents and it seems to work for him, Phil hellmuth comes into mind.. Speaking of Phil, he's such a bad loser. Does this make him more bluffable since players want to bluff him to see him blow up? What are your views on all this?

Chances of you putting anyone other than a newbie on tilt are slim. If someone insults me in chat, I either have fun with it or put the guy on ignore or don't have chat up at all. Sometimes that "nh" is said through clenched teeth or with total sarcasm. Live is totally different. I don't play live, so I don't know how it would affect me. I can see Tony G definitely getting under other peoples skin just because he is so annoying. Phil is just hilarious.

Very few people have the powah to pull off what Tony G does at the table. For the most part I'd say don't bother - most of your money at low stakes (especially live) is made from casual players who are there to have a good time. Why would you want to chase them off by insulting them?

re: Should I be a bad winner/ insult my opponents all the time, to put them on tilt poker Haha, this is a pretty creative way to play poker, but the image you show to other players online may be different than the image you give in live play. You want to have the respect of people at your table, not some low-class.. but hey, if it works for you go ahead and keep doing it.

You will be on tilt before them If you are constantly typing in the chat box you're obviously not paying attention to what you should be. Trying to annoy players by typing crap seems like a desperate move. As far as the nh forget that too just play. Half the players you're playing cannot speak english anyways the others will just block your chat and size you up as an idiot. I mean if you're playing 1 table and you use the clock to do your typing and if you can muster up a conversation with the players it could have it's advantages. But just calling players names for no reason other than they beat you is just putting you in a state you should not be in. What happens when you're playing this little mind game of yours and 1 of them by chance makes a comment that is really sensitive to you and it makes you cry lol. Then what you going to call momma to make it bettor lol. Just saying why open a venue that detracts you from your game and what you are supposed to be doing.

re: Should I be a bad winner/ insult my opponents all the time, to put them on tilt poker part of poker is the fun of the game ... if you piss everyone off, then what fun is that ... sure you can invoke the occasional tilt from a donk, but that donk would find a way to give you his chips anyway ... also, like others have pointed out ... most are not looking at chat and if they are a good player, then they can use what you are trying to do in reverse (i.e. they can assume you are waiting for someone to overplay a hand against you and instead they will be overplaying AA at you)
