Session Review I've heard a great deal mentioned about session and hand analysis, so I'd like to get some opinions are on exactly the best way to do this, or how people here do this, or if you can point me in the right direction to find this information. Is this something that I should be doing after every session - making notes and reviewing my marked hands? I have a feeling this is very critical skill/process to improve my game, so I'm looking for advice on the best way to do it.

If you can, after every session is a good idea. See this thread: http://www.cardschat.com/f11/guide-a...s-long-171059/

Had a couple additional questions on this, so bringing my thread back to life... The thread you linked did help btw sly. Do you write notes or keep a journal as a part of this process? Is it simply taking time to look back through your hands and find things you did well/poorly and review your marked hands? Is a poker diary/journal an entirely different process? Guess I'm just a little fuzzy on how I need to be handling these review sessions and whether its simply a "review" or something that should include note taking and writing. And if so, why kind of things do you try to write out? What I've tried doing is reviewing my sessions and making general observations and writing different things down. However, I don't seem to look back at them much so I wonder whether this extra time I'm taking writing is a waste - or perhaps I should be reviewing my prior notes more.... Can you tell I've talked myself around in circles on this subject?? I just feel its one of my weaknesses that I think I need to strengthen because I imagine it becomes more and more important the higher up in stakes you may go. Appreciate any help the experts here can provide. Thanks.
