Selling PS Play Money Chips

Use the postage and handling to play for real money.

I've also done this, and it went smoothly. Its not the poker site buying the chips though, its probably some teenager who popped up a website, trying to peddle a little money. They have a thing to click on to talk to someone live and they tell you what table to go to, and who to send your chips to. You go sit down and send them all your play money, then they send you the real money.

I'm sure the poker sites dont care or they would do something about someone having 2 dozen tranfers an hour. They can obviously see whats going on, but are ok with it.

PokerStars is ok with people selling play chips as long as no discussion about the sale goes on at the tables. People are always skeptical about this when people post about it on here but if you can find a trustworthy site or person to trade with it is a good way to start a bankroll. The hard part is just getting the first million or so chips

You can buy play money chips on facebook poker and im sure they still make money with that.

If anyone finds a site that is buying let me know okay! I would love to get some money for my play chips!

fyi...i just checked the link for buying chips from post 14 ...they are not buying any chips right now...guess i'll just keep the chips comming in when i'm not in a real money game and see about selling them later lol

I used to sell 100k for a dollar at a time. And i just googled some sites and they all say dollar per 100k or $10 per million. This seems like a much easier way to build a bankroll... Here we come Omaha H/L tables...

The highest stakes play money tournament you can get on Pokerstars has around 900,000 first prize for a sit n go. So you would have to win 13 of these for $120. Don't think this is going to be a gold mine. You could multitable some of these but surely playing real money is going to be more profitable for any skilled player.
I don't know what the skill level is at these high stakes of play money but I assume it must be much better than the lower stakes where people just play like they don't care. I've only played at play money very low stakes when I first started playing.

so where exactly could i sell chips? where do i go to? Is it legitimate?

This response is for pokerchild. It is legit to sell chips as long as you don't bring it up at the tables (they don't want people soliciting from players while at tables). In fact, you can do it right through pokerstars as long as the person buying has a money account.

So far the other sites that sell them aren't taking new sellers. They either have enough or they only like to deal with people they have dealt with in the past. I'll just have to wait and hope I run across someone who wants to buy some lol.

A poker buddy of mine offered me $10 for a million but I didn't feel right accepting money from a friend so just gave them to her. People like her are the ones who buy them because they go through them so fast lol.

I checked this out there are alot off sites for buying and selling play money chips.I never sold any before but have had over 1 million at pokerstars before I started playing for real money.I might go and try and see how long it takes to get 1 million play chips.I dont think it would take that long.Getting the first 100k would be the hard but after that shouldnt take long to get the rest.

wow, thought it was a myth. I do know a few sites have promotions where if you collect over 15million chips you will ge 10 dollars from the site. I am pretty sure pokerstars or fulltilt started that promotion when they first showed up online

PSchipsource is the best one. 1mil for 10 bucks. Direct PS deposit. I use it all the time. They take you step by step. You meet up on a designated table with the designated player and do a playmoney transfer and real deposit. You must have a min. of 1k playchips left in your account after the transfer. I can't believe so many people don't know. Why do you think Poker Stars has the playmoney transfer option for?

Another good and safe place to trade playchips and exchange money for different sites is the Full tilt forum player transactions category. a moderator will broker the deal for you for free. I frequently exchange different poker site money there.

I checked this site out. I went into the Full Tilt area to buy play money by mistake and got a message saying they were all out of full tilit chips. Then I found the area where you can sell play money chips and there is a note in red that says they are not buying any chips at the moment.\

Does that happen often? They are out of full tilt chips, you would think they would want to buy them??!!

You post a thread of the deal you want and you will deal with another forum user and not with the site. The moderators will usually oversee the transaction. I've traded other users PS cash for Ultimatebet cash and sold playchips for money at a discount for quick sales. Usually get good responses.

there not buuying chips right now but thx for the link hopefully they will be buying soon i think i got about 6 mil in Ultimatebet butm i just d/l the new 1 and it says i only got 999,999.98 i hope they didnt robb my playchips now that i know i can sell them!!!

yea its true jus talk to some ppl in 10/20 blinds and some of them might be willing 2 buy them but i dont think for 10 dollars
