Selling Pokerstars Play chips

Does anyone know any good chip dealers who i can sell my pokerstars play chips to? I appreciate it.

do not know if people still buy them there .... I like 4 years ago when a million sold for 10 dollars but do not know if you find you still recommend looking at some form there if there is a page of those still

pokerhex is trustworthy and reliable, atleast he was when I sold some to him. not sure if he still operates, or gives that greater price. Duno of any other legit ones. google is your friend..

I think it's not legal anyway, maybe if you got a friend with lot of chips you can do a deal with him think so.

this has been asked many times. i googled a few times myself to find something out but apparently not many sites want to buy pokerstars playchips. i found a guy flipping at 2nl one day, did a few with him and his friends, he wanted to buy playchips and i sold him 4 million for 20$.

I've dealt with them personally for over $100 in selling play chips, but have done so with full tilt chips.

Why would people purchase play chips?

On full tilt you can enter a tournament with 10-15 person for a total prize pool of 40$ for 500K chips.

Still doesn't make sense, unless you're getting a crap load of play chips for cheap.

What about PokerStars?

There are multiple reasons why someone would buy play chips.

1. To sell for a higher price unto someone else. For example, sites buy them at $4 per million or so, fair price on the market considering security and the fact that the usual going rate is $5, while they sell it to others for around $10.

2. To be able to go somewhere if one understands they are tilting, or spewing chips, but still be able to play poker, practically playing with no risk.

3. To feel a part of something bigger. There are oh so many micro stakes players out there, that as a player you are just one of tons of players, totally meaningless. As when you are playing with millions at 10/20k you have a feeling of powerfulness and individuality because not many people are playing at these high stakes.

4. Because they are stupid.

I thought it was against pokerstars terms of service to sell play money chips, but since I rarely use them myself, I never really read up on it, either way I wouldn't bother with it, instead just deposit real money into the site, if your uncomfortable doing that, just play with what they give you and if you would happen to spend it all, I think they give you more, but in my honest opinion I would think playing there with real money would be more rewarding.

I checked that website, the current rate they purchase full tilt play chips is $4.50-$6.00 per Million chips. What does this range of prices mean, are you supposed to haggle?

I suppose it is just to attract customers, the price is $4.50.

Just sold 1.5mil PS play chips today. Really easy and quick. They don't pay out on pokerstars any more, just FT or paypal.

I know you can sell the chips, but isn't it against the TOS @ Stars and Tilt? I thought it used to be, but am not too sure as I never dealt with play chips myself.

well that's awesome if I can really sell my FT play chips, that way I can build up my bankroll just from selling my play money chips...

I don't know about Stars, but at Full Tilt it is against TOS because the only way to "transfer" play chips is to chip dump. I have heard a story of someone getting their account banned for chip dumping in play money, but I do not know all the details.

Not against the TOS at pokerstars (not sure about FT) you just cant talk about it at the tables.

Wouldn't you have to chip dump there as well? I thought you used to be able to make chip transfers on Stars, but I dunno as I never really played on any play money tables. Why not just make a small deposit on a site and grind the micros instead.

Dont know how many millions I have had at pokerstars something like 30-40 as I was new to the game I grinded those playmoneytables for hours, but how playmoney can be sold for real money really makes no sense what so ever...

I think Pokerstars allows playchip transfers.

Regarding the grinding 2nl thing -- if play chip transfers and selling were completely on the up and up, I'd probably be able to make more money per hour grinding and selling play chips than the micros. I'm actually fairly certain that some people are doing this to either pad or start their real money bank rolls.

Nope, you do not need to chip dump. The person you are transferring to just sits at a play chip table and you right click them select 'transfer play chips'.

I already have money on the sites, but I also had play chips sitting there from winning a few play chip tournaments. Why not convert it to $?

I got first in a 2-7 nl single draw tourny shortly after they started offering it on stars, and some deep runs on horse and 8 game. I'm not playing these to make money, but more to get better at these games with no real risk.

Ive seen sites that buy them. Always Have wondered why though.

Oh well that's good to know about being able to do chip transfers on Stars through the table, I thought u could somehow.

Why not just sell them to the site you linked earlier?

They don't always have funds/or need to buy.
