Haven't had the opportunity to watch a great deal of his play, but I kind of get the impression he relies on his reputation to make others fold sometimes. Like he's expecting people to think "An all in from anyone else I'd call - but from Joe Hachem?!? Dunno, better fold"

Was definitely the impression I got watching the Day 1 footage of this year's Main Event.
