Rush of Cards

My buddy just started playing online this week. Last night we were at a micro-stakes ring game NL and he went on this incredible rush of cards.

If he had JJ, another J came on flop. If he had 2 hearts, he nailed the flush. He was being forced to showdown hand after hand because of his constant raises, and each time he had it. He's a very good friend of mine, but I just couldn't believe his luck. I hit two pair on flop, but he had trips. I turned over QQ, he had AA. He was cleaning everyone at the table up.

Finally, after about 2 hours of this, it was obvious luck was riding him. I bought in for $4, got up to $18, then he took me back down to my last $1.45. I can't believe his luck...so I just push my chips in with A 10 suited. He turns over 77. Flop - 77x. He flopped QUADS!!! My jaw just dropped. We will be joking about that night for a while. In the end, he got too cocky (not realizing he just a lucky run of cards) and donked 1/2 his stack off on a hand where he had nothing on a dangerous board. But still was a heck of a run...for him.

My friend and I played knock poker, and he beat my 4 of a kind with higher 4 of a kind, and drew a one outer to a royal flush. Too bad there was no casino nearby
