Royal Flush I was just wondering how many here have seen a royal flush while playing either online or live. I have only seen one once and that was in a play money game. At Bodog casino I hit a natural one on video poker(That was sweet BTW). Other than that I have never seen one except in the movies. After five years or so and probably at least a million hands I figure I would see more. Anyway, not sure of the odds of getting one are but I'm starting to think it's like a once in a lifetime event if that. So if anyone knows what the odds of getting one /seeing one are please post that too.

I've seen one live at a local tourney, just two weeks ago actually, and two online. The one at the local tourney was KsQs v AhAd, flop was AsJsJd; guy with pocket aces bets 1/3 pot, KQ calls, turn is 10s, pocket Aces bets 1/2 pot, KQ goes doubles bet, Aces goes all in, and call. (River 4d)

I've had 1 online, and barely made money on it. SB minraised my BB of AcJc, flopped a flush, turned the royal, made a bet and he folded. Obviously he didn't have a club. While not a royal, I flopped a straight flush with 7d8d, and a flop of 569d. Some guy shoved (I have no idea why) with pocket 8's.

I actually was playing an sng today at pokerstars and wasn't in the hand but should have been because it came: J Q A 10 K , all of spades for a royal flush for all. I've never seen that before and probably never will again |

I'v only seen one straight flush which I had to pay out for lol. I raised preflop with Aces(As,Ad), some guy called, flop came 2,3,4s. I bet, he called and I assumed he had maybe A,Ks or some high flush draw. Turn, 5s. I smile, totally sure someone wouldn't call a 5BB bet with some crap suited connectors and maybe made K flush or so. I bet half the pot, he went all in. I was 100% sure I had this straight flush. He turns over 6s,7s. I was nearly sick. Never seen a royal flush yet though..

I probably get on average 1 a year or so online (6 overall); have had one live in a tournament when it was 3-handed. In Omaha I have had more than 6 but it's easier to get them (you play more hands, see all 5 cards more often -- often times, you'll have a royal flush draw and take it down on the flop).

I must have been pretty lucky when I started since I had 4 RF in the first 6 months. One RF of spades beat another guys full house of Queens and 10s, so that was especially sweet But it has been 6 months or so since the last one I have seen two other people have RF in hands I was in.

The crazy thing is I haven't even been seeing them. I guess the odds of hitting one are 649,739 : 1. So the just to see one have to be about 9x better. I have seen some weird shat though. Yesterday, when I had a PP and saw a flop I hit my set on the flop five times in a row! A while back ago I was dealt AA 4 hands in a row. I'm no a numbers guy so much but I think the odds of that have to be 1/220 * 1/220 * 1/220 * 1/220 = 2,342,560,000 to 1? Maybe today I'll get a few Royals and no sets. I'm do right?(joking of course)

I've never had a royal flush. The closest I've come is a king high straight flush in a MTT on Poker stars. I doubled up on someone who had the A high flush. He went AI and it was easiest call I've made. heh

I got a royal flush during one of those omahi hi freerolls on full tilt. The guy went all in after flop and I called with a flush draw then got runner for a royal flush with my ace 10 suited. Its a pity that it was during a freeroll and not a big buy in tourney.

I've only had one in a freeroll. i got it all in to so that was good. there was also another i would have had had i not folded k 10 suited preflop but what are you gonna do. and i'm pretty sure the odds are 1 in 600 thousand so it really takes alot of hands to get one.

For fun I played 8 250 play money SnGs, by the time they were wrapping down I cashed in five and was in first on the other four on the final table lol... it was such a sick run of cards I wish i had been playing for real money. I got a straight flush, like 5 or 6 sets, a couple straights and flushes... was a sick run. Couldnt play for real money because I had class... also had to leave all those games that I was in first, haha.

I've had one in my life and it was on FT in Rush poker 1/2 table and it paid bigtime. I was up about 3x my buyin and so was the guy I played. I had AcQc and the flop was Kc10c10h, he had KK and didn't raise too much pre-flop. He made a healthy bet on the flop and turn but not too much because he wanted to keep me around. I rivered the Jc and checked it to him. He made a huge bet and I shoved all in, he actually thought about it for about a minute before calling. It was one of the biggest hands I've ever won.
