The River

I would say out of all the poker websites that I am registered to I would say Full Tilt is the worst poker site that kills you on the river, I've seen so much bad beat on that site its rediculous.

In short.

It's not rigged. Why would they? Rake is capped on most pots without big hands. It would be easily provable with datamining and some statistical analysis if it was. They are audited. You have selective memory and/or play hands in a way that lead to suck outs.

And welcome to the site

the greatest bad beat story of my life didn't involve a hand i was playing. i don't even remember which cards the palyers were drawing to, nor were the stakes very high, but as someone unfamilair with the game of hold 'em, it was awsome.

now that i think about it, we were playing a tourney late at night. a live game, before i had discovered the horrors of internet poker. we were all friends but loved to talk shit. i can't remember if i was still alive in the tourney or not, but i was dealing.

somebody went all in. the flop came down. the huge underdog caught his card on the turn and slapped the table. everyone was stunned and beside themselves. the river card came and and the tide turned. it went from one big underdog spiking a card on the turn to the other guy screaming to the gods as he swam in the river. i was cussed. but i caught the thrill.

being a huge football fan, i compared it to how it must feel like to going from being down by 3 towchdowns in the 4th quarter, come back to take the lead, only to lose to a hail mary.

they say the only thrill bigger than winning is losing......

Today on tropical they said worst hand always rivers.

You go on pokerstars, they call it riverstars.

Now you say it about FUll tilt.

if it kills you on the river then just follow your draws and kill other people on river

Just another post about rigged software with absolutely no evidence, never mind anything that would be statistically valid.

It is truly funny. I here people say jokerstars all the time. Last night someone was claiming Full Tilt to be rigged while I was on there. It's all the same. It's such a played out story that most people even know isnt' true when they say it but I think it makes them feel better.

I look at it like this. The more bad players then the more bad beats. The players sucking out probably shouldnt' have played the hand in the first place, or should have folded to a bet but they didn't. The more of that I see, the more I like the game becuase I know that players there are bad and can be exploited.

I love seeing the bad beats (as long as it's not happening to me ).

Hahahaha, Don't limit yourself to just Valentines day for this. There are all kinds of things you can make up to enjoy "screwed on the river" time.

On another funny note, one of my friends IM'd me today and all it said was "Happy VD." I laughed and responded, "I don't know if that's such a happy thing."

I guess getting beat on the flop or the turn doesn't seem to bother players, go figure.

Yep - I agree ....... got and seen countless of those "bad beats" ... the favorite is usually the underdog

My Suggestion: Switch the name for Turn and River because this River doens "flow" ;-)

To be honest if I'm going to get outdrawn I would rather it came sooner than later. At least you may still have a chance if you are outflopped, once that river card hits the game is over.

The river is a biatch at Every site. The reason for this, is low limits, and especially since most online players wouldn't lay down a losing hands and know they're beat if their life depended on it. If you push all-in preflop or on the flop, I don't think there's a reason to think a site is rriiiiggged, because whether or not you like it, cards HAVE to come, and they can screw ya!
